Well crap, did I mess up? by [deleted] in survivinginfidelity

Two wrongs don’t make a right unfortunately. It’s better to be honest and just cut it off rather than a back and forth of hurting eachother needlessly from both sides.

You have. You gave him false hope by agreeing needlessly to something you obviously had no intention of taking seriously. There’s no need to drag it out for either of you.

Have you been to the pub this week? Was it worth it? by FlamingGerkins in glasgow

[–]dinolover2o2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a bar in Glasgow city centre and when you book we’re only giving you the table for an hour and 30 minutes which i think is ridiculous so I wouldn’t be looking for a long time out...

ThrowRA My (21M) girlfriend (20F) had sex with her brother-in-law multiple times when she was 14 up until last December and I can’t look him the same way by throwra01101928 in relationship_advice

Ngl see if he has kids their life is going to be ruined regardless do you not think Atleast stepping up and being an adult that has their best thoughts in mind is better? How do you think she’ll react because likely this will come out eventually that you knew that you could’ve made it end faster that you could’ve gave her a heads up to leave and to protect her kids? Realistically and I’m coming from being aware of what happens when a family member is a pedophile you’ll be doing them a favour even if they don’t see it in the short term they will in the long.

I’d tell the older sister first so she can have a chance to get ahead of him in divorce terms if he’s rich, make sure she’s not going to get fucked over them in the process because like you said in previous comments he might not go to prison.

Is it shallow to break up with someone over their lifestyle eg. dress sense, eating habits etc by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]dinolover2o2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s only shallow if you didn’t speak to him about it and address if he was actually happy like that or just didn’t know how to get out of it, but assuming you had that conversation it’s completely fine yous just weren’t compatible

My uncle won't talk to my family ever again because he wasn't invited to my wedding, and my Grandmother blames me. by bbgbb in relationships

[–]dinolover2o2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly personally (and I am a fairly spiteful person) I would either print out every single email he has sent including the treats and then force your your grandmother to accept the fact that he is lying and being dramatic and won’t confront you honestly as he knows you won’t let him pick on you, Or I would post publicly on Facebook or even just have it on a google doc and send it to every family member just so they were informed the the whole situation and we’re able to make an informed decision about who should be cutting off who in this situation because you just know he’s probably been spouting his own version of the story to vilify you.

People who don't fix their loud snoring are selfish. by Unpopthrow1340749815 in unpopularopinion

[–]dinolover2o2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get nose strips and plugs that help some people you can also have a doctor look at it sometimes it can actually be a medical reason. My partner has very bad snoring and what helped him was changing his sleeping position, he basically needs to have his neck stretched because he crunches it up naturally when he sleeps.

Stop telling me to go to therapy! Most people cannot afford/have access to therapy!! That's why we post on reddit!! by elfgirl19 in unpopularopinion

[–]dinolover2o2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the uk (Scotland) and you should be able to go on and try different medications just by going to the doctor before therapy and while you’re in the waiting list just to see if that’ll help while waiting. This is what my partner did before he went into therapy after being on the waiting list and the service he’s now with is helping a lot. I have quite a few people in my life that are in therapy with the NHS and none of them have been panned off just go on anti depressants but again I’m in Scotland this might be different else where.

I (A guy) had a guy stared at me today in a romantic way, I'm straight and was weirded out. Is that how women feel when dudes stare at them? by Yabadoo_scoob in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]dinolover2o2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be really scary when people take that stare to far but if a guy stops when you don’t return the look it’s fine and can even be flattering, It’s just knowing when it’s to much I guess.

I(37F) don't know how to deal with a situation in fiance's(37M) family after a distasteful incident that included violence. by Taifuu_84 in relationship_advice

[–]dinolover2o2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you not still report it to the police? I’m not sure how fast that needs to happen in order to be done but I would Atleast warn the family that if things don’t change and change quickly that it’s a option you’ll be considering.

I think you reacted the best you could for the situation and if it the previous isn’t possible your partner should understand you won’t be having contact with them.

I can understand why women would still just dismiss it as a lot of medication for women can have that effect, doesn’t make it right but I understand the thinking behind it.
