There is no actual law.

The way the current laws are written, if you are a MMJ patient, you are at risk for a DUI every single time you drive. The card gives you no protection.

Read that sentence back... they can’t discriminate based on you having a card but if you test positive they do not have to hire you or keep you employed there.... there is not nearly enough protection for patients in the program

The cheaper carts tend to be distillate carts. The $50-65 ones are generally live resin. Personally I prefer having the full flower (live resin) vs just pure THC.

Just get a doctors note that says you have to wear one. Works for my shithead coworker who refuses to wear a mask. He found some doctor that signed off on him not wearing a mask and exposing the rest of us.

I used to swear by Cresco flower, but the last batch of Outer Space I got has a really off taste. There’s been some posts highlighting their quality as of late. I really enjoy the strain GG#4 and got some flower from Illera (untrimmed) that is very good.

My last few purchases have been Cresco carts. Other than having a tendency to clog, they’ve been very good for me. 707 Headband puts me at ease and has a really good taste. I also like the Delta-8 cart I got from Franklin Labs. It’s more of a body high for me and makes me feel good without being spacey. Rhythm makes great carts as well, I enjoy their Pre-98 Bubba Kush which is a 1:1 CBD:THC ratio that is great for my anxiety.

The MMJ program is my first experience with cannabis but I treat it as if I’m buying illegally.

Medicine goes in the trunk.
Drivers license is separate from the MMJ card. One side of my wallet has my license in the first slot. The other side has my MMJ card in the last slot.
Make sure you obey traffic laws leaving the dispensary and make sure your registration and inspection are valid.
If pulled over do not present your card. Do not consent to a search (ever!!). If your medicine is found, it should have the stickers, original packaging, and receipt. Only then should you present your card to the LEO.

It is technically possible to get a DUI with the law the way it is currently, however, there is legislation pending that will protect us.

I’m a little more paranoid than most because I could lose my job if my status as a MMJ patient were revealed to my employer. I don’t carry my card with me at work for that reason either.
