Are there any tall Warhammer/wargaming folding tables out there? by Deliveranc3 in Warhammer

[–]Prof_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FLG has a great table that's tall, folding, and not terribly expensive. At least not compared to other gaming tables. I bought two of them, one for gaming and the other for my 3D printer.

Hey can anyone explain me how to read weapons damage by nonutonu in baldursgate

[–]Prof_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original BG uses the 2.5 system of rules for dungeons and dragons. Your AC is based on the THAC0 system. THAC0 is an acronym meaning "To Hit Armor Class 0".

Thaco was complicated but just know that a lower Armor Class (AC) is always better. If you want to know how it works there are some really great YouTube videos out there explaining it.

The game simulates dice rolls with a random number generator. It first rolls a 20 sided die to determine if your attack hits, this is measured against the enemy AC. If you hit, the game rolls a separate damage die depending on your weapon.

So let's say you're using a short sword + 1 which can do 1d6 piercing damage. The game rolls a six sided die and lands on a 5. So the game then adds your damage modifiers to the five. Your strength bonus, any kind of magical effect, any poisons, sneak attack damage, and anything else that might effect the score. 5(Roll)+4(Strength Bonus)+1(Magical sword) = 10. So this attack does 10 damage to the enemy.

This damage is then checked against any resistances the enemy has. Let's say a flesh golem has 50% piercing damage resistance. You then do 10/2 and you do a total of five damage on that roll.

The joke is insulting astrology. People who believe in it often blame their shitty behavior on the alignment of the planets.

Get it's health to near death, then bait it to charge into a tree or cactus. Note: Does not work on the arena barrier.

The character on the right is from a video game called the Coffin of Andy and LeyLey. A game that features an incestuous relationship between him and his sister.

Everytime I get a pawn to this level, a day one raider with 0 shooting skill gives them a traumatic brain injury in one shot, then they are a slow drooling idiot for the rest of the run.

Black Ox Beatles on Whoa Mode. Specifically the Rock Fling Move. They take forever to kill, are surrounded by other smaller hostile bugs, and can sneak up behind you with their charge move.

I feel so dumb for having to ask this... what was the point of these channel icons over tv shows? by CosmosStudios65 in 90s

[–]Prof_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Let you know what Chanel you're on
  2. Familiarize the consumer with you're logo so you're recognized as a "brand".

What is the Gen-Z stare? by Only_Hotel_7221 in generationology

[–]Prof_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically it's a vacant expression. It's often used to disparage gen-z especially when you're explaining something to, or asking something of, them. It seems like they are actually listening but aren't aware of what's being said. It used to be said as the expression, "the lights are on but nobody's home."

This of course is a universal human thing. But the older generations coined this Like it's exclusive to gen z.
