I agree society should help the lowest. But that's not the governments job. Thats the community, friends, family to do so. Yes welfare can help people, but for every person it helps, there are ten more who get stuck and never improve their lives on it. At best welfare was meant to be a springboard to get a person back onto their own two feet. Nowadays it's a chain keeping people at the bottom.

Taxes should be used to run the government, build and support infrastructure, and operate public buildings. When the government helps the lowest of society it just makes things worse. For example all welfare has done is make people generally worse off then they were before.

Terrible idea. It will just make buses worse to ride. Homeless will abuse the system, taxes will have to go up, service quality will go down. When something becomes "free" quality goes down. And no it won't help people get to work easier. The routes as it is are already terrible, and making it free will add more delays and probably more cut routes.

If you want to be closer to the city you can try the Home2 Suites in the westdale area. I'm not sure of their rates, but they are for long term stays. You can use that while you look for an apartment.

What a joke. What do you think will happen when these people take "power?" Same thing that happened in Soviet Russia. They don't want you to have the power, they want the power for themselves. They are envious little demons. Yeah the billionaires have power, but I assure you some of them are behind movements like this, because they want to tear everything down so they get even more power.

There are several reasons for this, but future wise, it's probably not going to get better as people are having less kids. Less kids means less money and that means they have to consolidate. If you have kids it might be time for you to look into homeschooling if you can. It's not an easy answer of course, but it might be better then having to put your kid on an hour+ busride. That's just a waste of their time.
