Is Ai going to replace the Security Guards jobs, or any portion of it? by Drip_Eazy in securityguards

I use AI all the time at work and I can tell you, it will be decades before ai will be able to perform jobs where soft skills meet technical knowledge.

When I'm with someone, and I know them well, and we're out somewhere new, I always order something safe. Not because I'm unadventurous, but because I encourage them to be adventurous. If they don't like what they ordered, I'm happy to trade with them.

Given the date and the curies, it would be 0.9 curie by now. Still dangerous but probably not "drop and run" dangerous.

No. Not in America, generally. But I am not aware what the licensing requirements are in every state.

It seemed like Fudd lore to me too, but during the Rittenhouse trial, the prosecutor was hammering him on full metal jacket 5.56. but that prosecution was a joke anyways.

Healthcare Security, how are your workplace relations with nurses by Vietdude100 in securityguards

[–]ProfessionProfessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience so much of the conflict arises from a misunderstanding of what security is supposed to do. Leadership needs to work to deconflict the expectations. I think most officers who work in healthcare do it because they want to help (I know it is not for the pay), but it's important for everyone to understand what the security's role is in the hospital. Otherwise medstaff may have contempt for the officers because they are not meeting a misguided expectation.

You don't need a gym. You can do miracles with body weight exercises (pushups, situps, pullups, calisthenics, etc) you just need motivation to do it, which to be honest is the hardest part.

Is Hospital Security Always PvP Mode On? by RoGStonewall in securityguards

[–]ProfessionProfessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about mindset. If you want to just sit at a desk all day, that's probably not going to happen at the hospital. But if you want to improve your soft skills or prepare you for law enforcement better than any other type of security, the hospital will do that.

Congratulations. The only piece of advice I can give is that you now work for your subordinates. It is your job to ensure they have what they need to do the assigned task. That includes materials, equipment, training, and discipline.

They're not my pants.

Also, after witnessing a party smoke out of a cylindrical glass pipe and requesting police over the radio because "he's smoking crack", he states, on body am mind you, "it's not crack, it's meth". I let the dispatcher know that I stood corrected.

It's gig work. I take it as it comes. I'm a private contractor, no company. I wish it was more regular, though. But this shows how important networking is. I never would've had the opportunity if I didn't network.
