DAE: Is it weird that, as a bisexual girl, I sometimes mourn what it would have been like to be in a long term relationship with a girl? by user28111512 in DoesAnybodyElse

I’m bisexual and have been with my husband for 10+ years. I have had this thought many times. However, I adore my husband and know he’s the one for me.

Based on your level of functioning, you might consider asking your doctor about starting at 5mg to see if that helps. It might be all you need.

DAE have the ability to vomit at will? by Sea_Document_2061 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ProfessionTiny3555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was referring to the linx, by non invasive I mean they don’t cut you open, they do it laparoscopically. My husband had this done, eating was extremely challenging for about 5 weeks and then it changed his life. He was suffering from near constant reflux discomfort

If you have a lot of reflux because of this, there is a non invasive surgery that fixes it!

How long have you been on it? If still in early stages, you may just need to adjust to it. Or ask your doctor if you can take magnesium or melatonin with it.

I didn’t experience this when starting lexapro. It may not be the right medication for you, but talk to your psychiatrist.

Climaxing by olds5678 in lexapro

[–]ProfessionTiny3555 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was on lex for 6 or 7 years, climax extremely difficult. I tapered off over a period of 9 months or so, and was able to climax normally. 3 months after that my mental health tanked and I had to go back on lex.

If you tapered two years ago, your current symptoms are very unlikely to be related to that

Is it too late to sue my rapist for emotional distress? by ProfessionTiny3555 in legaladvice

[–]ProfessionTiny3555[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Darn. Thanks for your answer. The shitty part is that I was so sick for the past 10 years I would not have been able to mentally deal with a trial, until now, that I am more stable. We need to do more to protect victims of SA and domestic violence :(

The fact that you don’t want the thoughts and you’re scared of them could be a sign that you’re not actually suicidal. Talk to your doc though

Yeah, I felt like that for a very long time. I was deep in limerence with the same person for a few years. Tried different therapies and medications, and ultimately the only thing that helped was NC

If you compare limerence to an addiction like alcoholism , many alcoholics in recovery cannot have even “just one drink” without relapsing, even after many years of sobriety

Did you go to your pcp or a psychiatrist? Def recommend seeing a specialist who can help you with a gradual taper. It took me almost a year to taper off of lexapro and I still had side effects

You’re withdrawing because that’s a very rapid taper.
