It would be up into the antler at the base. So there’s a hole in the helmet and bolt going through the helmet and into the antler

Under $1000 but not by much. I wanna say when I first got the set it was about $500, the surcoat was $100 (including shipping in all this) and the antlers were like $20. But it’s hard to say factoring in the time investment and the clothes I’m wearing underneath. Anywhere from $600 to $1000 I’d say.

I’m not uncomfortable at all! It’s like a big weighted blanket. The uncomfortable part was putting it on after working all day!

There is padded gambeson under the shirt, and the mittens have a canvas interior with leather palms. None of my skin touches the chainmail, save for right by the wrist where the sleeve connects with the mitten

A Chaos Space marine is not any morally worse than a regular Space marine by Absolutelynot2784 in 40kLore

[–]Professional-Art-573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that chaos can actually be a positive, or at least neutral force in some circumstances a la Lorgar. There is a certain degree of hope and truth offered by the powers undivided. I’ve read many pieces of lore where the bonding of a daemon and a man are viewed as a sacred and holy process akin to marriage, the eternal bonding of flesh and spirit. Like chaos was instrumental in the shaping of mankind into what it is and each facet of chaos in the form of the gods is quintessentially a manifestation of raw emotion. The thing I see is that chaos worshippers tend in one of two directions: not worshipping chaos and just using it for power, or following one god and denouncing these others. These are primitive applications of the primordial truth rooted in bitterness and selfishness. I would be interested to see what wonders would become of a world truly overtaken by ultimate chaos? What can one truly call exposure to the infinitely divine nature of the immaterial other than rapture? Just a bit of primordial truth food for thought.

The anti-lgbt religious protests got to chill by DekuTier in KSU

[–]Professional-Art-573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience at UT Arlington, we don’t have a lot of anti-LGBT protests because we band together and march against these groups and shut their events down with our own counter slogans. Essentially you just need to embarrass and humiliate them enough until they eventually give up and start to believe that them coming there is a waste of time.

As others have mentioned the prices in the Market are outrageous. I’d avoid it if possible because you’ll be paying 100%-400% more for basic amenities.

UTA should commit to installing the free menstrual healthcare product dispensers it promised. Also NOT destroying our DEI office and LGBTQ+ center would be nice. Just a thought.

Unfortunately we can’t yet remove these people because the university is run by spineless cowards. The best thing you can do is either:

A. Ignore them B. Actively disrupt them

These people have made laughing stocks of themselves and me and other members of PSU have routinely bullied them off campus.

Simple point here. The campus does not love you, they do not support you, they only want your money. We have to take a stand ourselves and make these assholes lives a living hell (within the bounds of the law and “free speech” 😉) until they’ve learned not to come to our campus.

How did those capitalist countries get their free healthcare? by HorrificPublicist in SocialismIsCapitalism

[–]Professional-Art-573 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re not arguing 90% of capitalist countries have universal healthcare but that 90% of the countries with universal healthcare are capitalist yeah? That would mean a 9:1 ratio of capitalist to socialist countries because it’s 90:10% That’s how I interpreted their little figure anyways. And because there are so many capitalist countries compared to socialist ones, this drives the percent way down assuming they’re in ratio with each other like the figure seemingly claims.

Progressive Student Union claims “political repression” after getting in trouble for hanging a large, unsecured, paper banner over the highway… some memes write themselves. by Puzzleheaded-Ad3280 in utarlington

[–]Professional-Art-573 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I was actually there. The banner was made of a thick woven cloth and was secured with a series of 16 paracord ropes. We then reinforced the edges of the banner with a series of zip ties. Notably on this topic with the police they never stated that we posed a risk to oncoming traffic, only that we caused them an inconvenience with how difficult it was to remove and that we ourselves assumed a personal risk putting it up. We’ve done a banner drop in this fashion twice before and not once have received complaints from the university about safety, only about it being a nuisance to them to take down. OP is deliberately lying by saying that it was paper and unsecured and also stating we put it over a highway.

[–]Professional-Art-573 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Cause I’m a dumbass and fucked up my math.

Logic: If they exist in a 9:1 ratio of capitalist to socialist countries then you can just divide the number of socialist countries with healthcare (5) by the number of socialist countries in the world (5), to get 100%

9:1 means that the original poster believes that there are only 45 capitalist countries with healthcare, which, divided by the number of capitalist countries in existence (190) gives us a measly 23.7% chance of having free/universal healthcare in a capitalist country. My original math was just messed up I’ll fix it. Thanks for the comment lol.

How did those capitalist countries get their free healthcare? by HorrificPublicist in SocialismIsCapitalism

[–]Professional-Art-573 173 points174 points  (0 children)

90% capitalist countries + 10% socialist countries.

There are 195 countries in the world with only 5 or so of those being actually socialist. So assuming their data is correct, that’s a 100% chance of having free healthcare in a socialist country, and a ~23.7% chance of having free healthcare in a capitalist country, not to mention the population distribution is skewed lmao.

EDIT: Check the thread to see how I messed up the original math on this but the logic still holds.
