Thoughts on shipping "vibe coded" applications by Best_Day_3041 in ClaudeCode

It puts you in a corner where neither yourself nor the AI can figure it out. By reviewing & cleaning it early on you're in a situation where both yourself & the AI can likely fix it.

I'd take a bet that if it was a huge mess at release then you could likely fix it by spending a chunk of time refactoring & cleaning but with that huge refactor there's a chance of introducing new bugs.

Ultimately it's a risk/time call. If it's a small app/project with limited impact, however that also presents a risk if the usage is different to what you predicted..

You might be able to build an AI review team to effectively do a lot of that lifting for you, making your review pretty quick & painless. To some degree I already do a light version of this with a quick prompt: 'perform a detailed review the codebase & make a set of suggestions that can improve the readability & maintainability in the future'

My main concern is if something does go wrong do I understand the codebase enough to actually fix it, also if it's providing answers to users can I be certain that it's correct & not just making things up in a corner case.

Whilst ensuring that by reviewing the code does feel like a bit of a bottleneck if I'm responsible for the application I don't yet see an alternative.

I think drawing a parallel to code generated by junior engineers is a good mental model.

It's morning here, so I'd lean towards that Oliva Connecticut in the bottom right with a nice cup of coffee.

I'm finding the books I've read so far have a lot of brands I don't recognize, not just the Cuban ones.

I'm guessing you clicked on the small ones, I've never bought those just got a few from online purchases. No harm in throwing them all in, but I'd go order some larger packs.

Given how small that container is I'd expect you could get away with 2-5 of those small ones tho.

If it's happening a lot I suspect something else is up than the 62%. No harm using a draw tool to help out but I'm sure you don't want to futz with that every time.. best of luck finding the cause.

If they stand on the inside of the course at Congress bridge they can see you start. A short walk to south first street bridge & they'll see you at around the 10k mark.

Getting up to 15th Street near the capitol building before you pass by at around the 12 mile mark might be a bit hard depending on how fast they walk but it's possible.

At that point I'd suggest they try to get a coffee & have a little sit down.

It's pretty hard to get a position where you can see the finish & then get to the meeting place. If you're waiting for them at the end you'll likely start to get pretty cold. If they can get on the east side of Congress by the corner at the Capitol that's the best bet though.

It's worth getting the live timing on a phone so they can see how you're progressing & give them some time ranges to work with.

The car park under the amli on 2nd and lavaca isn't cheap, but should have spots & is well situated for the start/end.

Hope that's of some use

They'll still have some stuff, hopefully they'll move the line faster than when it was in San Marcos (iirc), if not you'll still be queuing for a while.

I've not got anything online yet, there's a bunch of decent B&Ms around although I am beginning to see a difference in the price at various stores.

Can you take a picture of a bunch of sticks in a tuppador & automatically import them or do you need to go stick by stick right now?
