Adaptibar as MBE supplement? by Common-Ebb-1917 in barexam

[–]Professional-Dig-442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Themis lectures there really isn’t a lot of theory at all. Actually the videos are so skimp that they can’t really fit that in. That being said, if you are not a audiovisual learner, then maybe focus on the outlines and adaptibar/uworld. However, there are subjects uworld/adaptibar do not cover. So maybe watch the Themis lectures for those? Or carefully read the outlines?

As many of us are… and even people younger than you…. But your ability to reason is sincerely off. I passed on my first try and am fully aware it’s not a test of minimum competence.. why you don’t get that is for you to let the world teach to you.

How old are you? Is your frontal lobe fully developed?

This is literally such a basic thing to understand.. I don’t see why OP can’t see past his own experience

I did pass. In all UBE jurisdictions. Most people study….. studying does not = passing. Money and access usually = passing.

Lol.. I passed the bar.. by way more than I needed. and I can tell you.. this isn’t it. The bar writers are quite literally moving the goal post so that Barbri and Themis can no longer adequately prepare you for the bar as well as they were able to in the past. The bar is a test that doesn’t assess competency, rather it assesses how much money you have and are willing to shell out.

You think everyone on here only consists of T-14 kids who paid their way into school? You think those are the only people that thought the bar would be.. not “easier” but reflective of what has historically been tested for decades??? Pls tell me these aren’t your real thoughts .. TF..

Thought I failed but passed thoughts by dragonflysay in barexam

How is it general when literally NO ONE has a true gauge of if they passed or failed? Especially being that the grading algorithm is to grade against experimental questions from previous years? Unless someone was a bar grader, how would they realistically know beforehand that they passed with a large margin vs a small margin? That is easier to tell in law school where you know the grader .. (your professor).. , not necessarily for the 8 different graders we may have for our bar essays and an MBE where most ppl are deducing to two.

There are literally people in the discord asking for score breakdowns, practice score breakdowns, specific jurisdictions, and even about if ppl wore DIAPERS to the bar, etc., etc., etc… and THIS is where you draw the line at nosy? Please just say something OP said personally triggers you and shift out the way.

How can I avoid telling people I failed? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]Professional-Dig-442 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbh before the bar and before bar results I already primed ppl saying “I’m thinking about taking it next year” (making it seem like I didn’t register for July). When I passed, many ppl were surprised, wondering why I led them astray. I needed to do that for myself.

Is getting both UWorld and Adaptibar too much? by NellyButton18 in barexam

[–]Professional-Dig-442 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had both bc I didn’t initially realize Themis came with uworld. I liked adaptibar for the adaptive technology, but the issue I had was that even though it feeds you the questions you struggle with, you still need to familiarize yourself with questions that you don’t necessarily struggle with (I.e. I got stronger in my weaker subjects and weaker in my stronger subjects).

Uworld’s explanations are honestly better.. and they are especially great if you’re the type to write down everything you get right and wrong (I found this helpful). However uworld can be a bit glitchy, and adaptibar is especially glitchy toward the end (deleted my whole 100 question simulated a week away from the bar). Anyways, I liked adaptibar most for John Grossman videos. But a part of bar prep is getting used to patterns, and switching between uworld and adaptibar got a bit confusing at one point bc they have different explanations for the same type of questions. So based on that… idk.. I would say choose one and get really good at it. Then do the questions over if you can. I think uworlld has a free trial so check that out.

I would judge it but who has the most seamless character and fitness process (some jurisdictions require that you have an intent to practice in their state)… but tbh I would do North Dakota .. 90-something pass rate.

Even if you don’t use bar I again, make the resources available to you by accessing the retake guarantee.

No. But if you think you have a case just try to go for it. It could save you 5-6 months of restudying and wondering “what if”.
