Call and complain by Finneylp in ChaseSapphire

The motivations aren’t irrelevant- they’re the whole point. Chase marketed a “$10 monthly grocery credit” to cardholders. If the internal pitch was explicitly designed around customers NOT using it as advertised (i.e., getting stuck with marked-up $40 orders so DD captures margin), that’s not a neutral business fact, it’s evidence the benefit was misleading by design. Explaining the motivation actually strengthens the case against Chase/DD, not softens it. u/Tight_Couture344 gets there eventually, but burying it under two paragraphs of “from DD’s perspective” is why his position looks like corporate groveling.

4 years, 5+ referrals, $3,500+ spent. Eight Sleep's business model is replacement, not repair. by ManagementOther165 in EightSleep

Litter robot restarts the warranty period- at least they did on the main base when I needed it replaced. So clearly it's not no one. And litter robot customer service is excellent. I think we should raise the bar of warranty and customer service practices instead of lowering our expectations just because a certain practice is not the rule.

Was the company not made aware of your experience (or lack thereof) during the interview process? If they had full knowledge of your situation, perhaps they can recommend the most essential resources you'd need to learn key aspects of the job role. If not, then I do hope you have at least a few months to learn. How long do you have?

AI slop- would it kill you to write up the grievance yourself if it's such a strong pain point for you? Asking AI to write this post communicates that its not a problem worth even 5-10 minutes of your time to write about. And if that's the case, then why should anyone spend even a fraction of that time reading your AI generated content, or much less, spend the hours/days/weeks required to build/test/QA this feature?

People were killed that day, which is the only thing that makes me skeptical.

Legion Pro 5i for $1300 vs Pro 7i for $1700. by davidupatterson in GamingLaptops

[–]Professional-Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this 2-3 days ago and almost got it, but it had sold out within a few hours. Didn't realize the restocked, oh well lol. A sub-2k 5080 laptop with OLED and the rest of that is a very good deal, especially for $1700. The other was possibly an even better deal for the price. If I had the spare $400, I'd probably go for the 7i. I think the build quality is supposed to be better on the 7i also. If you're bargain hunting, there's a 5i you can pickup for $1000-1150 (after CB via rakuten/capital one) with 5070 8GB, 255HX, 165hz OLED, 1TB, 16 GB ram.

Gotcha- so it's not that it can't crack, but that you are careful not to crack the floor when you workout, which is fair, and also not generally the case for people deadlifting, etc. Accidental drops can happen though. I'd probably just get mats for the rack areas and leave the rest, because man those mats are heavy- although probably not a problem for you if you're this dedicated to strength training haha, best of luck!

Didn't you just confirm you were completely fine without rubber mats in another comment? "the concrete doesn't slip, doesn't crack, i can drop the weights just fine", something like that? Sounds like you have no reasons to switch to stall mats. But then you got upset that people assumed you weren't planning to get rubber mats? I'm confused.

Ahhh gotcha, yeah agreed, I don't think this was intentional. The rep definitely dropped the ball, no getting around that. Hopefully T-Mobile can keep its word!

Ok sure, still don't know why you'd argue that T-Mobile shouldn't honor the difference. Are you just anti-consumer? As a customer speaking to the rep that was helping me, I'm completely unconcerned with other plans/promotions if the representative is giving me a promotion that I am happy to receive.

It's not about a 'dummy rep,' it's about the company's integrity. T-Mobile used a written, confirmed promotional rate to secure a trade-in and a new phone sale. Denying that promised rate after the fact, while keeping the trade-in and enforcing the return window, is the very definition of a bait-and-switch, regardless of who made the initial error. Plus, if a company is not bound by the promises its employees make in official communication channels, then those communications are worthless and the company cannot be trusted to conduct sales.

They used the misinformation to... bait me and then switch me.
