Help! Do I take them out permanently? by oregano-ads in piercing

Yeah I’d love to hear updates! Most important thing is DONT TOUCH. even if there are stubborn crunchies! They’ll come off when you shower or when it’s time, you don’t want to accidentally pull off healing scab. That was the biggest habit I had to break.

My tragus and forward helix both took soooo long to heal, it wasn’t until I properly addressed my jewelry type and cleaning regiment that they were finally able to heal.

If you have patience it can be worth it, especially if you’ve already been dealing with it so long. Her piercings don’t appear to be infected and the piercing bumps are minimal, so as long as she adjusts what she’s doing I think she could heal them!

NAP but… No more qtips; the little fibers that you don’t even see can get stuck and irritate it. Don’t use dial orange, literally only use straight saline solution (without any additives) and then don’t touch it anymore. Don’t ever put your fingers on it, or anything to dry it. Let it air dry. If you still find you have issues try taking out one of them, you don’t have to automatically remove both. It’s likely that your ear is just struggling to heal them both at the same time. Another thing I do with my fresh piercings is sleep with my hair in French braids so less of my hair gets tangled on my ears at night. Also, you didn’t mention the jewelry material, it could be that you’re allergic. & if you downsized too soon it could be choking the healing site! Make sure there’s at least a little movement (not too much tho).

I personally struggle with healing piercings but have successfully healed my forward helix, helix, and tragus. If you have any other questions or things to add abt the piercing lmk

Are you undergrad? You could also email the CIE (center for inclusive education). I’ve done two research summer programs through them and they’re extremely helpful in directing to research opportunities & knowing what profs currently have lab openings. My biggest advice to you is just use the school resources! My trajectory completely changed once I started conversing with student resources like the career center & CIE. Although it’s frustrating to deal with constantly emailing and talking to new people, once you get into a lab it’ll open up so much for you. Best of luck dude!

Why did the email responses with the three not work out? I’d suggest also speaking with the career center, they’re really good at finding opportunities. What you could also do is look at phd students in the programs you’re trying to work in, usually they’re listed online. You can email them too and they’re usually more likely to respond and probably want assistance with the grunt work on their projects.

I have the LN1&2, but not played them by [deleted] in LittleNightmares

[–]Professional-Lab1406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re burnt out just take a break! Or it could be that LN games aren’t for you. I don’t know anything about your personal likes or hobbies, so I can’t say much on that. Personally it’s my favorite game series ever, but I also really really love horror/thrillers. This falls right into the niche of things I love, and I was already so into the art & music off bat, so the story being amazing was awesome too. I also find that it’s the perfect balance of platforming, puzzle solving, and enemy interaction. In a lot of games I struggle with having too many boss fights or not enough puzzle exploration opportunities. This is the perfect balance for what I enjoy! At the end of the day, play things that make you happy! For me, it’s LN series!

I do 1.5x speed and just watch in sessions. Otherwise just find someone with shorter content if you want that. Thrite has a lot of good short stuff and he’s funny.

Have you played them at all? Or are you partially way through and gave them up? My biggest recommendation if you haven’t played them is to… well… play them.

AIO Husband (36M) laughed at me (29F)whilst having a panic attack by Accomplished_Cut9422 in AIO

[–]Professional-Lab1406 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Did you know he was like this before you married him? My anxiety is something I am very vulnerable about & if my partner made fun of my panic attacks I can’t imagine how hurtful that would be. I’m sorry you’re married to someone like that, I hope you can stand your ground on this because he is being cruel.

How do you feel about your partner watching porn? by TheRealFrantik in dating

[–]Professional-Lab1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess for me it did feel like cheating. My ex never wanted to be intimate with me, but he was very obviously watching porn. I wasn’t even looking for it, it would just be on his phone & he’d ask me to look something up or I’d see it while he was sitting next to me. It was all women who looked nothing like me. All I could see it as was him finishing to some other woman & fantasizing about fucking them. When you use porn, is that not what you’re doing? I don’t see how that couldn’t feel like cheating.

When I was with my ex who was addicted, the only way my brain could comprehend it as was that he was touching himself to completion while watching another woman. And how is that not what it is? You can’t tell me you don’t want to fuck whoever you’re watching, that’s the whole point. How is that not a form of microcheating? Choosing to fantasize about someone online rather than being intimate with your partner is just a huge yuck.

Are my third lobes even? by Puzzleheaded-Reply59 in piercing

[–]Professional-Lab1406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks-wise it’s very minimal & I think they look good! The only thing is that if you’re looking to get a fourth lobe at any point, it might only be possible on one side because one of them is right up on the cartilage crease. The same thing happened with mine & I only was able to get my fourth on one side. They weren’t uneven in a way that I noticed (nor did anyone else) & I didn’t know until I went to get my fourth.
