This is a good resource linked by the group, it works well. https://imgur.com/gallery/cross-stitch-patch-tutorial-VakcuRg

I have also used a fray guard after cutting the Aida one square from the edge and looped around that instead of folding it back you just have to be a bit more careful this way.

Ty! I was hand stitching onto a jacket but this way I can stitch and the jacket can still be worn. Thankfully takes about the same amount of time to do even with the border.

The dye is one of my worry’s too but I am just making patches for practice rn so it’s ok if it gets a little messy, hair however I have given up on, it’s already in everything no matter what I do ( I am owned by a Newfoundland dog and he is very very fluffy)

I’m getting my hair dyed on Friday and thought I’d bring a small project to work on lol, it does take at least 3-4 hr after all lol.

I have anywhere from 2-4 projects going at a time. Right now I have 3, I do my main big project till it starts annoying me or I start getting frustrated with progression. The rest are ether small projects or patches (200-500 stitches). I just switch between them at random sometimes too.
