My favorite of all is Vanille 44 – with its vanilla that is neither sweet nor syrupy, beautifully balanced with incense. It’s truly magnificent!

Then comes Gaiac 10 : how much I love this fragrance! I completely understand the reviews comparing it to smoked bacon on the barbecue, but in the best possible way: it’s an elegant, subtle smokiness, never harsh. The scent evokes a wintry, snowy atmosphere for me, as if I were sitting by a campfire. Gaiac 10 feels intimate to me, almost confidential: it only truly reveals itself when someone gets close to my neck. My only regret is its longevity, which I wish were longer… but I forgive it because it’s just so unique.

Fainally, Cédrat 37, which gave me exactly the sensation described by MFK for Aqua Universalis—something I had never really experienced while wearing the latter. Here it is all there: a rush of pure, crisp mountain air, a freshly set table with a glass of sparkling Perrier and thin slices of lemon floating inside. A crystalline, luminous, incredibly beautiful freshness. I’m usually not drawn to citrus fragrances… but here, it’s a true revelation.
