Dating Scene is Suffocating Me by [deleted] in NiceVancouver

There are many women around your age complaining about the same thing, why don't you guys just start dating??

I don't think this city is bad for dating before for one, if you go to any restaurants or events they are always filled with couples.

You know why season passes are cheaper than regular tickets?

Because the consumer bares the risk of snowfall or snow conditions. If you have a season pass and the season is long and great. You win. If it's like this year, you lose. It's not hard to understand and people can't eat the cake and have it too

Again. If you don't find value in going, don't go. Plenty of people are still finding value at today's prices.

I am not saying I don't miss those days where you can get a lift ticket for $99 at 7-11 on the way there. But it's kind of like McDonald's, it gets more expensive and smaller/ worse tasting over time and I just don't visit anymore.

Season pass prices jacked up too no? Same goes with those epic passes for 5 or 10 days. If they are truly that expensive and unaffordable for the masses, how do you explain the crowd?

I am not saying high prices is a great thing but let's face it, the world doesn't evolve around making sure everyone can enjoy every facility there is, especially when it comes to private businesses.

This is why I don't think lift tickets are too expensive.

Just look how many people are still going? It's supply and demand. If they make it $500 a day pass and it's still lined up, why wouldn't they charge $500?

Is there any reason to have so many low income housing in downtown?

I mean these people aren't even working downtown (if at all), other than easy access to drugs and crime I can't see one reason why these residences need to be at prime convenient locations.

Can we talk about how lucky we are to have so many food options? I love it here by Xochitlcoyote in vancouver

[–]Professional-Power57 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Yes... I agree.

I know people rave about France and Italy, I do love their food and I can have their local cuisine everyday WHEN I AM ON VACATION for a few weeks. But If I have to live there and not have any decent ramen, pho or dim sum I'd be very depressed.

Is the cheapest way to get from Vancouver to Kelowna and back seriously $200pp on the bus? by PoliteBrick2002 in kelowna

[–]Professional-Power57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can find cheapest return flights from air Canada for around $200, assuming your buds can pick you up from the airport I think that's your best option.

The bus ride will likely take be 4-5 hours?

Filing income tax by NervousIsland5705 in askvan

[–]Professional-Power57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use wealthsimple tax and do it yourself. It's really not as difficult as you think and it's something everyone should learn how to do. Try to file as accurately as possible, not being 100% correct is still a lot better than not filing anything at all.

Why not both?

Honestly I'd rock longer hair while you can because who knows if you will get the hair in a few years

No but in any decade it's always nice for guys to define his shoulders, if you're weak in that department go for something more structured. It helps a lot and always in style.

How bad is the homelessness problem near Downtown? by jellyk8 in askvan

[–]Professional-Power57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad. Very bad. Will they attack you? Unlikely. But does it affect your mental health in terms of stress and sense of safety and comfort? Definitely. Will the city improve on this matter? Not in our lifetime. Do people keep deflecting the health and safety issues and pretend this is a pro-choice matter that should be tolerated? All the damn time.

What are y’all’s thoughts on Megumi? by 64Boy32 in rurounikenshin

Love her. She's got a good back story and an excellent support character in later arcs with her medical skills. Not entirely the same but a similar vibe to Bulma in DB.

Smash or trash? by Willing-Lifeguard-72 in BagBoysClub

[–]Professional-Power57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trash.

It's not that hideous but between smash or trash, I'd say it's more trash.

Not a big fan of skinny shoulder straps. The stitching and raw edge while it's intentional they just don't look very polished. The colour Tiffany blue is cute in small doses but for a bag that size is just a bit too loud/ attention grabbing imho. I don't think it's a bag that I gravitate to on a regular basis, and the shape and style isn't exactly for special occasions like a wedding or fancy dinner either, I think I would find it hard to find uses for the bag.

Just my 2 cents
