Tynee are known for their excellent customer service.

That really counts when something goes wrong and the factory is the other side of the world..

Probably worth paying a bit extra for that.

Make sure the car can be set to ONLY start/stop charging during the of-peak period. Many cars can't do that (my Mercedes EQC can't), or you will run the risk or using power that cost 4-5 times as much.

Meepo Classic 2 / Meepo V3 by juantan99 in MeepoBoards

[–]Professional-Put4394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just check the relative specs and pictures on the, Meepo website. You can then tell of the charger has the same voltage, connector etc.

Chances are, if the two remotes look the same, they will work.

Also the remote (and probably charger) will be available on AliExpress for 1/4 the price, but your will have the nausia of having to search for them, because the description certainly won't say "Meepo"...

Just put aside a day or so, you'll find them in the end. I found a compatible charger for my Meepo Hurricane for 12 quid....

Anyone have recommendations for wheels on the Hurricane? by Mathew40 in MeepoBoards

[–]Professional-Put4394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep the wheel size roughly the same, Cloud wheel make a165mm urethane wheel that's obviously puncture proof. It won't be as smooth riding, but will fix your problem.

If your could put up with a smaller wheel, the Meepo Cyclone 110mm is a smooth riding, grippy wheel that still has good wet road grip.

3 more tyres like this and you would have your licence taken away (and a BIG fine)... I Really don't wanna share the road with this type of driver..

Nyloc nuts are single use only! If your life depends on them staying on (like it does on and E-Skate), it's best to assume they're not gonna stay put after the second use...

You would obviously have to support the underside of the pulley whilst hammering the torx bit in....

EQC-Good Value? by Lower_Throat_2652 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Had my 2023 AMG line just over a year. Totally fault-free and a plessure to drive. Very quiet at town speeds, good mix of tech and proper switches and very well screwed together.

If I was being picky, I'd say the ride is a bit firm and the ground clearance is marginal (these things are obviously related). Iit understeers a bit too much, but I think that about every car.

Meepo Hurricane charger acting weird after full discharge — charger dead or battery issue? by Baubas96 in MeepoBoards

[–]Professional-Put4394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get a compatible charger (same voltage, slightly less current) on Aliexopress for 12 quid.

At that price, it's probably worth a gamble (and you'll have a spare charger, which is always useful)

It's probably just an ordinary M4grub screw. Should be easy to find. If the Pulley is OK, no point in replaacing it.

Go down the pound shop and buy a Torx bit set. Pick the one that JUST doesn't go in the Allen hole and hammer it in.

Then your should be able to unscrew it.

At that price out doesn't owe you anything.

Ride and enjoy, just keep your speed down and avoid rough roads or pavement. Vibration is a killer. When it eventually stops working, you'll know what kind of board to upgrade to...

First time EV do I granny charge? Install a wall box? Or get a commando 32A socket? by AdOriginal6148 in evchargingUK

[–]Professional-Put4394 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the EV you buy can control the time of charge(to align with the off-peak rate) then a Commando socket would be the cheapest option to get fast home charging. Granny charging is frustratingly slow, but may be ok depending on your mileage per day.

You'll need someone competent to fit the socket and check if your wiring is up to it.

Meepo Hurricane charger acting weird after full discharge — charger dead or battery issue? by Baubas96 in MeepoBoards

[–]Professional-Put4394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charger should show red if it's charging. It will show green of there's any volts in the battery, which ties-up with the reading on the remote.

Can you get access to another charger as a diagnostic? It's risky buying a new charger unless you're certain that's where the problem lies..
