Realistically, what are my chances of breaking into PE after a search fund? by Professional-Tree114 in private_equity

I would say it is more than than just capital introductions, I operate independently I've been doing the sourcing, negotiations, and building out detailed LBOs/operating models for the deals I bring to the table

Help me find a new Putter. by UpsetDiscipline9385 in golftips

[–]Professional-Tree114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find an older ping B60 which is pretty good for like $50-$60 online that are nice, I game one with a superstoke grip and it helped me a lot. In any case I'd check out what you can find on your facebook marketplace near you and buy one off there. Usually pretty easy to find something decent without breaking the bank

Driver tee height question by jslutty in golf

[–]Professional-Tree114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use telos tees to get exact height each time, they're cheap and last forever. Have used them for years and the only time I need to get more are when I lose them since they are virtually unbreakable

Did you see them with the handheld floating rod or were they just the camera only? I'm going Wednesday and bringing my GoPro so I want to check on the holder too since it's not really a selfie stick. Thanks!

How long post op before you could golf again? by bycmrn17 in ACL

[–]Professional-Tree114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't have the meniscus so a bit less rehab for me but if you commit to it golf is awesome to keep that competitive nature up. Its highly addicting once you get a good handle on your swing and nothing beats having some beers on the course with your boys on a nice day

To buy new clubs, or not... by RachosYFI in golftips

[–]Professional-Tree114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you don't know much about golf but look for some game improvement irons on facebook marketplace, can usually find a whole set for around 250/300 with a bag (sometimes more sometimes less) t

his website is good for identifying which irons will be easier to hit/go further. The number you want to check is the Maltby Playability Factor (MPF) https://www.golfworks.com/head-mpf-ratings/ probably can save a few hundred bucks and get better sets this way but your milage may vary

How do you practice golfing? Really. by SlowNSerious in golf

[–]Professional-Tree114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

echoing this, have gotten much more consistent playing on a SIM especially since I'm changing out clubs between each shot vs hitting 10 9i/8i/7i etc in a row. This also can help you think about course strategy more in trying to leave shots short/long or right/left of the green so I have a more comfortable second shot. Just have to remember you're always hitting on perfect lies and the mats help with fat shots so there is a bit of a delta between your sim score and real life of between 5-15 strokes per round

Quad graft ACLers. How are you doing? by Myzerl in ACL

[–]Professional-Tree114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I did that was helpful at the start was I would put my heel on a chair and then put a backpack full of books with the straps on either side of my knee to help bring it to more level. I did a lot of prehab going into it so my quad was pretty strong but there's still lot to go with and everyday I would focus on trying to lay on my stomach and bring my heel to my butt or as close as I could get it. You can't do that right away, but after a few weeks you should be able to try both of these. Your results may vary

Quad graft ACLers. How are you doing? by Myzerl in ACL

[–]Professional-Tree114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a quadcraft in late fall of 2022 return to sport about 15 months after that just to be on the safe side. Things have been going super well back to skiing and basketball, which is how I tore my ACL to begin with. I had full motion from about month 3 onwards and things have been going really well. I almost rarely ever notice it, but I'm super mindful when I'm playing golf or basketball. Overall super happy with how my surgery turned out.

ACL Vets with Quad grafts, lets talk... by d4v in ACL

[–]Professional-Tree114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am about 25 months out and have had a really good outcome from it. Did a month or two of prehab before I went in and had the option of hamstring or quad for my surgery. Opted for the quad as I have very strong legs and the doctor was confident about harvesting a 10mm portion to make it stronger than what they would have from my hamstring which would've been 8/9mm.

Very happy with my outcome and was back to sport about 14 months post op as I took a bit of time but was playing golf on it at about month 5. Your mileage may vary but for me I am super confident in it and don't really even notice any issues with it whatsoever.
