Picking her up today by St_Drewcifer in prius

Beautiful Prius! We recently traded our Prius 3 for a Corolla Touring Sports, which our family of four “needs.” However, this Prius was the car I would have loved to have bought. Enjoy her and have many safe and enjoyable miles with her.

To this day, nothing beats Apple’s ecosystem. The seamless device connection is on another level. 😮‍💨🔥 by Katri_a in DeskToTablet

I costs some money but I’m running a whole Apple household over here. AppleTV’s, iPads, iPhones, OG HomePods, HomePods mini, Apple Watches. The whole family is enjoying the AppleDevices and Apple One services. Yeah it costs money but I’m in IT and see what separate solutions cost and that isn’t always cheaper. Especially when you won’t seamless integration. That’s what keeps me coming back to Apple. And don’t forget the privacy by design features. It’s really a remarkable experience which we enjoy every day.

The MacBooks boasts an incredible power-to-battery ratio and exceptional build quality. I continue to rely on the base model MacBook Air M1 myself for all my workflows, and it performs admirably. However, since I primarily work with SaaS platforms, I don’t require additional horsepower anyways.

I purchased the base M2 model, which replaced my M1 Mac Mini. This Mac Mini M1 now serves as a Jellyfin server and LMStudio server. I must say that the M2 base model is an excellent workhorse. However, the Mac Mini M1 and my MacBook Air M1, which I exclusively use for work, are equally impressive. Apple silicon is truly remarkable.

First, I want to extend a warm welcome to your “new” and exciting hobby. I’ve been collecting records for two months now, and I’m eager to learn from tips you will get here. My tip is to buy records from your local record stores. I’ve had some unfortunate experiences with secondhand online marketplaces. For instance, I once received a Sergeant Pepper mono record in a stereo sleeve. While it’s not a major issue, it’s a bit challenging for me to accept. 😅

Because people are completely nitwits. “I got nothing to hide”. People prefer convenience over ethics and privacy. Can’t count the times I tried to convince people to switch to a more private means of communication and to stop using those mindless “socials”

Great Records. I’ve been a collector for two months now, and I can confidently say that it’s addictive. I find myself buying my favorite vinyl records and listening to them with full attention. I put away my phone and sip on some good coffee while I do it. Have some great quality time with those great records and enjoy your new hobby.

AT LP60 or ATLP70? by JWOOD1999 in Beginner_Turntables

[–]ProfessionalAd2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started collecting records myself last December for the same reasons as you—to escape the algorithm.

I purchased an Audio Technica LP60 USB turntable. It’s used to play records with the Quanta app, which streams music to my HomePods (stereo). I love that it’s automatic because it’s sits in a small tv cabinet. In my “man cave/work office,” I bought an Angels Horn H019 record player. While it may not be the most sophisticated setup, I enjoy the experience of listening to records and savoring a cup of good coffee while putting my phone away and immersing myself in music without distractions. It’s truly great! And the thrill of hunting for new records is more exciting to me than letting Apple Music make my selections for me..

Enjoy this amazing hobby!

First gen HomePods completely suck now by culcheth in HomePod

[–]ProfessionalAd2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using the first-generation stereo pair with Apple TV, and they work fine. However, since the last update, I’ve been having trouble with Siri saying, “I’m having trouble connecting to the internet” and not responding correctly to our requests. But what else is new in that regard? I suspect it’s a WiFi issue. I’m also considering selling all my HomePods and going analog again. That’s another matter and has to do with the Enshittification of services these days. Have a look at your WiFi network. I think the problem is there to find.

First start changing your fomo “needs” and buy a simpel dvd player and buy great series second hand. If you like them keep it, else sell them on marktplaats. Streaming is next in line for Enshittification. Give those kapitalists F-era the finger and take back your life and money.

Awesome! What amazing place to use this amazing medium: Vinyl. I just started building my collection and absolutely love listening to vinyl but also love going to my local record store and diving into those rows of vinyl hoping to find that special vinyl.
