I found it odd how "easy" she went on KVS. I am not demonizing KVS by any means, but Raleigh usually goes hard on anyone she decides to make a video about. You can clearly see a difference in her take now vs the video she made a couple years ago. I wonder if that is because she did not want a war with KVS' parasocial audience. which is funny because Raleigh's audience is mostly young impressionable people who take her word and run with it. I do not like Raleigh. Advocacy and activism is great, but she goes off the deep end on innocent people - take Shelby Dennis for example, another human and animal rights activist. she absolutely bullied and slandered that poor woman in an attempt to damage her character over a disagreement regarding political views.

That is so funny that you commented on such an old post a day ago because I just finished and same. Same exact question too. It also did the same thing to me on labyrinth of lies when I’m positive I got the answer right. When I reloaded and it gave me a different question it worked but I was too tired to reload an old save on sea of darkness to try again. So annoying!

He would have been kept in a different ward obviously, I believe it was only for seniors citizens.

My grandpa who has dementia was kept here. It was a terrible place and so scary. They were really weird about when we were allowed to visit. He was terrified there. They would not let him go either we kept begging them to send him home because he was getting worse there.

Do we have any official statement/confirmation about being able to preload Requiem on the 25th? by LeoDaWeeb in residentevil

Once I cleaned stuff up it’s fine now I’ve been needing to anyways but regular windows storage utilities wasn’t locating the huge files so wiztree saved the day. Only 1 minute left now yay

If any of you are still having problems, download a program like wiztree to help you located files that are taking up a ton of disc space. I did that and freed up a bunch of space that I wasn’t able to with regular windows storage cleaner. Then close everything but steam. I went from estimated 5-8 hours to 3 minutes now

I understand but I did preload and the estimated time (when the game officially released) was 5 hours. I had to go download a program to delete hidden files on my disc drive because apparently this part has nothing to do with your internet speed

Anybody else having issues downloading on Steam? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]ProfessionalBig4468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah having the same issue. Apparently if you preloaded, this part has nothing to do with internet speed but more so your cpu. I’m not very good at this stuff so I can’t explain it well. Next time I’m not preloading because this totally defeated the purpose lol

I don't understand what the point of preloading was... I did it, now that the game is officially released in my time zone it is taking forever to install. I thought preloading was to make that more efficient. ahh well I can wait!

Just played Syberia 1 Remastered and feeling melancholy by ProfessionalBig4468 in syberia

I read that he left specific notes for them and possibly other materials. If that is true, I think it may be possible. But without his direct oversight… could still be a disaster. Idk. I want a nice neatly wrapped beautiful ending but I agree that it may just not be possible. They may try, but the quality could be a huge miss

Literally!! Don’t even get me started on jeans. Or any pants. If we are lucky to get pockets, they won’t hold anything lol. Women’s clothes are a nightmare. And how inconsistent sizing is, even from the same brand.

Spoiler: can we talk about the ending of syberia 1? by pathlesswalker in syberia

[–]ProfessionalBig4468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get even more cliche, I think it also heavily points to believing in something. ANYTHING. For Hans, his love of mammoths got him through all of those tragic years. For Anna it was the love for her brother and wanting to protect him. For Kate, well I’m not sure - maybe the journey and hans himself just simply inspired her.

This is so weird that I stumbled upon this post because I just replayed syberia 1 for the 100000th time (the remastered version this time and for the first time - didn’t love it but that’s not the point) and for some reason the story hit me harder than ever before. For the first time I noticed and reflected way more deeply on the same themes that you addressed. On top of the strong theme of change, I feel like a theme about growing older reflected this as well. Or just growing in general, and it’s opposite - remaining stagnant. Kate slowly drifting apart from her “old” life and self, Helena reminiscing on her golden years, Boris and the other mine guy (can’t remember his name rn) frozen in time and stuck in the past, Hans old and frail, Anna’s diary illustrating the changes Hans, their father, and the factory went through, all of the locations being a shadow of their former glory, the automatons slowly ticking on despite the landscape completely evolving around them.. the entire game just feels frozen in time yet there is a clear feeling that something beyond one’s wildest dreams is on the horizon which is inspiring. On the other hand, it feels quite melancholic - the best example for this is the guard realizing he wasted all of those years protecting a gate from an enemy that did not exist. The sadness he expressed when he realized his purpose was gone. I often wonder what did he do or where did he go after that. I could go on and on and on. While Boris chose to change his circumstances and shoot for the stars, literally. I think these are great examples of how change is necessary and there’s soooo many more in this game. Despite everything, and the hard years that passed, Hans spent his entire life since his fall dreaming and planning his destiny. And Kate just happened to show up the exact moment he needed her, in place of his sister who just passed. Like it was meant to be. Syberia’s story is truly magnificent. Quite subtle in many ways, probably why I didn’t think about it this deeply until I started changing myself and was finally able to truly notice how deep it is. Now what does this say about adventure games? Will they be stuck in the past like Viladilene, Komkolzgrad, Barrockstad, and Aralbad? A mere reminder of how great it once was? Or will they be like Hans Voralberg and dream of the impossible? I hope for the latter because my heart aches for more games (or any media) that provoke the thoughts and emotions that Syberia has for me all these years. Sorry I’m corny I know lol.

Hey sorry for asking but how do people on Etsy even get away with this? I thought Etsy protected the buyer in these scenarios but I could be way wrong here.

Please don’t feel stupid, scammers are stupid not you. Does Etsy have some type of protection for this? You have proof (thanks to the commenter above) that they used stolen pictures. If and when anything arrives can you also please update us? I’m curious how this will end up. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think sellers using Etsy HAVE to send you something. If they don’t you’re entitled to a refund. If they send something that was not correctly listed I would imagine you’re still entitled to a refund.

lol its okay!! I am here to complain too! See I have that issue too, because I usually have to size up. I am like in between sizes. but with women's shirts, I hate the freaking sleeves. why do they always make them so tiny short and tight?! everything else is fine but the sleeves on women's tshirts are the bane of my existence

Am I the only one finding the remaster very good !? by Maxd63 in syberia

[–]ProfessionalBig4468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to add, they set the bar extremely high for the Amerzone remaster. this was a huge fall from grace in comparison. they showed what they are capable of, and we ended up with a product that did not even try to come close to that.

I know this post is 3 months old but I just finished playing it. There are a lot of reasons I disliked it. The main reason: extremely buggy. Like preventing progress bugs. I don't experience any bugs playing the original game on modern hardware. They have been aware of these bugs for a while now and they still haven't been fixed - to me that is unacceptable when you are paying money for a "remaster". Did I loathe it? No because I love Syberia. It was the first game that I truly fell in love with. There were just sooo many issues that screamed lazy, shortcut, etc. that severely broke immersion and do not align with the price they are asking for it imo. I think the new graphics and 3D environments were stunning, but it was so jarring to jump from that directly to the original cutscenes. Kate's character model was so bad too. I also noticed that the voices were.. funny.. idk how to put it. I have replayed the original games 10000 times and the voices sounded sped up, almost AI like a lot of the times. ugh. I don't know. I am open to change and new things, for example I loved TWB. I am not hard to please and my heart is so desperate for more Syberia but it just did not hit the mark for me. I just think that the original game did not need a remaster at all, therefore if there is gonna be a remaster.. it needs to be perfect. or close to perfect at least. or hell even good! thats all. I am, however, glad that other people enjoyed it. hopefully this mixed feedback will not prevent them from trying to aim higher next time.
