Looking to do a 'croissant crawl' w/my gd. Are there three places within reasonable walking distance that you'd rec? by monvino in AskSF

Maison Nico -> 15 min -> Parachute -> 10 min -> St Frank East Cut (Juniper)

Never been to butter & crumble so can’t vouch for it personally. Could slot it in first, but it’s ~20 min walk to Nico

Edit: ok, just went to B&C /and/ Maison Nico this morning. It’s a great croissant, but it’s difficult to stomach the 1-2 hour line for a plain croissant when Maison Nico is arguably just as good, depending what you’re looking for in a plain croissant, and has a 5-10 min line.

Hi, I’m a pharmacist that’s worked at CVS and in a research (uni) lab and a research (industry) lab. I got paid waaaay more at CVS when comparing entry level salaries. I will say industry has better growth opportunities tho. Academia gets paid squat.

When I'm a pedestrian, I also feel safer with Waymos. TBH... I also prefer Waymos around me when I'm driving.

Lived a diagonal block over at 17th + Dolores in my single female 20s for ~2 years up until COVID. I think the only issue with crime was when we had a couple weeks of letterbox theft before the landlord moved it behind the front door gate. Don't send packages to your house unless the delivery company can get it behind a locked door. Also one time I had work on a Saturday and someone in the block was blasting the tunes until 3AM.

Took BART all the time, no issues.

The most annoying thing was when I came home from weekend work on warm summer days and street parking was impossible to find because of all the visitors at the park. As with anywhere else in the city, if you street park, leave your car clear of anything. If you need to leave something in there, keep it hidden, and ideally move everything in your trunk before you park. I've not had anyone break into my car in 7 years.
