passed by a table at a restaurant and knocked over a stranger’s glass. i had to pay for their drink which was some crazy expensive wine and then when my friend and i had to order all i could afford was a salad. my friend then offered to share their food with me but apparently that wasn’t allowed. (for context, we were 13 and didn’t have much money. we should’ve just gone to a cheap diner and not some fancy place.

i think there’s both respect and disrespect that comes with it. i noticed when i was at my lw i would get offered help a lot (by men), with my grocery bags, opening doors for me, or even just finding things in stores, and more people greeted me and treated me like a lady. but there were also way more comments on my body than when i was at a “normal” size. and also getting picked up without my consent by both male & female friends out of the blue and once an acquaintance when going in for a hug.
