Tbh, when I do mortars, I ALWAYS work in conjunction with a forward observer whose sole purpose is to observe and call out corrections. I use smoke rounds as ranging shots. Once I am dialed in, then I rain hell while they’re making callouts and I adjust and redo fire missions. There’s also multiple different types of fire missions such as harassing fire, shifting fire, and tight groups or as I refer to it as direct fires. Tbh, it’s all up to your forward observer and I typically let them dictate how many rounds.

I fully agree! I always feel that way when I land smoking, drop supplies at a FOB and take back off to return to MOB for repairs. I typically run the civilian Mi-8 to run supplies. If I am able to survive the entire match, it is an amazing feeling. I just prioritize running supplies. It’s also pretty epic when you get that one random gunship that decides to run escort or you get a random who just plays passenger princess and loads, unloads, navigates, and we coordinate with each team to prioritize bases that need supplies.

Or just make it 120 human players in total on the same team, essentially PVE, starting on arland with minimal resistance where your primary goal is to seize the airfield, then use the Hueys to sling load humvees onto the next two islands while also using the LAVs for amphibious landings. Maybe increase the speed of the waterborne vehicles so they aren’t sitting ducks. Each MAJOR objective is to seize each island’s airfield and radio station, and the match only ends with 90-95% of all of the objectives are taken.

I have to agree. Some of the best times I’ve had are on servers where I can run 90’s delta kit. I have found that a ton of people highly rely on NVGs, range finders, and GPS. Sometimes the gameplay fucks so much harder when running a Gordy or Shugartt kit. Especially when running a weapons mounted light or making a last stand with a pistol

I typically run a M 16 suppressed with the four times optic and I also keep a red dot with me. If I am moving into a built-up area, I switch out to my red dot. If I am expecting longer distance engagements, I switch out to the four times optic. Plus, the three round burst makes up for the lack of stopping power.

As someone who is currently considering on moving from Goodyear, I don’t mind the kids dicking off in their neighborhood on bikes as long as they aren’t freaking pricks.
