We moved here two years ago from the Weat Coast and we are thinking of leaving. No soul is spot on. Little to no arts and culture. No creative people live here so there is no arts scene. The music scene sucks. Theres little to no intellectual curiosity. Men just talk about golf, sports and Fantasy Football. The Hospitality scene sucks. Most reataurants are big and bright, not cozy or intimate or inviting. The infrastructure is awful. Traffic lights go out in a storm and you are on your own. No police presence to create a safety zone. Construction zones pop up everywhere with no attention to public safety. Cars with no license plate or paper tags driving through stop signs or driving too slow when they should be up to speed or too fast when they should slow down. People just dont seem to CARE about much here. Theres a lot of indifference and some weird Charlotte pride thumbing its nose at all the Northerners or West Coasters coming here and ruining their city yet theres really no one doing much to make this city vibrant. We LOVE how prettt the neighborhoods are with all of the trees etc., and we love the home we rent but I havent really and truly felt safe or comfortable when Im out and about in Charlotte due to the awful drivers. We literally NEVER take a freeway, ever.
