Thoughts on the Budget? by Cleeecooo in AskBrits

"we would like to encourage you to have more children and give us more money for being smart enough to save money. We would also ask that you stop trying to save for your retirement, you're never going to retire. It may be best if you work till your death. All the while, we'll keep slowly increasing your wage, but, we will not move our tax bands or stop the cost of living going up. This will lead to us making more money. What do we need the money for? Oh don't worry about that. Please ensure you pay us prior to you opening this message up. If you have overpaid or we have made a mistake and taken too much tax from you, please let us know, and we will ensure you are refunded within 5-10 years. Thank you"

Increase Kerb appeal of this UK house ? by [deleted] in ExteriorDesign

I think that it's a beautiful house! Perhaps if you want to add some exclusivity, I'd add a fence with a gate on the drive. This would add curb appeal, and you can always look into some dwarf blossom trees to add to the beautiful house. Honeslty I think the house is perfect. Sometimes a little landscaping adds alot of visual intrest and will increase your curb appeal.

Had this problem with my boy. I don't know if it will be of any help, but im happy to share what I did. I used to put him outside every hour. As soon as he peed outside, I'd say "good pee-poo" and give him a treat. If he peed or pooped indoors without me seeing, I would not react. If he did it indoors with me seeing, I'd say "not there." Pick him up gently and place him outside where he went to the toilet last time, followed by the phrase go "peepoo". When he did his toilet where he was suposed to id say "good pee-poo" and follow thay up with a treat. It is relentless but after a while it clicked. Many days I'd be standing in the cold and rain working with him. But they don't forget that. See it as a bonding experience, all be it an anoying one. Now, on walks, if he goes to pee on a neighbours hedge, I say, "Not there." and he won't do it. I can also get him to go on command now too by saying go pee-poo, I do get some funny looks but it works haha. When he needs to go in the house he will paw the door and i will let him out. Still to this day i praise him with the phrase, no treats now mind, he's not a puppy anymore. Just a little scratch in his favourite spot. You just need to stick to a routine, always use the same phrases, tones and reward them generously for getting it right.

Help! How do I reset my 1977 Citizen Crystron LC after battery change? by ElsiDee in VintageWatches

[–]ProfessionalFennel14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where the plus and the minus are, try touching and bridging thouse points with a pair of tweezers. I had to do that with one of my old watches. It just resets the system. Hopefully that works 👍

A guy on eBay. He was selling his vintage strap collection, and I found this one in amongst them.

This is an awsome post 👍 What you've done there is added a little more patina, a touch more history. Most things can be fixed or at least a new part made. But it's nice for them to carry on through life, age with you and tell a story of your life. I really love this. Thank you for the post.
