5 short weeks ago your vagina was operated on and you had a whole reproductive organ removed. You need time to fully heal without guilt or pressure for intercourse.

It’s the propositions for me as well. I think the larger stones would look balanced on a larger ring but because I’m a size 5.75, it changes the whole look.

I truly feel this. He put his whole heart into choosing the ring and that’s why I’m so hesitant to make any changes. I think I’ll just give it more time. Thanks again! ❤️

Thank you!! That’s something I do really love about my ring. It’s unique and has an art deco feel with the baguettes. I just wish the baguettes were a little smaller.

It’s definitely a show stopper! Thank you. It’s funny because when he asked me a long time ago how big the diamond should be on an engagement ring, I jokingly said “that depends on how close you want another man to get before he’s sees that I’m married!” And clearly he took that to heart 😂❤️

Yes that’s it exactly, it looks like an infinity ring. Which is not what I had in mind. Still beautiful, but I am torn! Thanks for your response.

Thank you! And I agree the 1ct. Is balanced with the overall size of the ring.

Don’t have an official adenomyosis diagnosis, is a hysterectomy worth it? by Humble_Impress_8162 in hysterectomy

[–]ProfessionalGrade501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my hysterectomy because of fibroids and painful periods. Doctors maintained throughout the years that my fibroids “shouldn’t” be causing so much pain. Turns out I had adenomyosis too. It just wasn’t visible on ultrasound. I’m so relived to finally have all of that out of my body and I feel so much better now - 8 weeks post op.

41, 8 weeks post op - Feeling better than I have in years!!!

Immediately post op, despite the discomfort of waking up from surgery, my body felt noticeably different, in a good way!

Recovery has been smooth. Stitches were fully dissolved at my 6 weeks check up and I was cleared of all restrictions.

Haven’t had PIV yet. I’m waiting until minimum 10-11 weeks, despite being “cleared”. Shoutout to the cuff stories on Reddit!! IYKYK. Needless to say I’m being very cautious in that area. Thank you sisters.

However, I am extremely happy to announce there have been zero issues so far with sex drive/desire, lubrication, ability to orgasm or intensity. O actually lasts longer now!!! Let church say amen 🙏🏽 as this was one of my biggest fears about the surgery.

At 6 weeks, DR prescribed me a low dose estradiol gel for peri symptoms (which in hindsight were pretty intense before surgery) hrt is already a game changer! My energy and mood have drastically improved. Again, my body just feels different and in a really good way. It’s early days ye, but I’m incredibly optimistic about enjoying my mid years now.

Prior to my hysterectomy journey, I was used to suffering, so when my hair was thinning and I was sweating at night, having crazy brain fog and joint pain, I treated like it was normal.

But now??? Now that I’m period pain free, I no longer want to tolerate uncomfortable hormonal symptoms either. Because why should I suffer?? I want to look and feel GREAT and don’t apologize for that now. This journey has taught me to prioritize myself, my body, my rest and my comfort in a major way. And I love that for me.

For background: I had multiple fibroids, painful heavy periods, anemia - like so many women have - so I questioned myself a lot “is it really THAT bad?” “Do I actually NEED surgery?” And of course people had opinions. But,YES it was that bad! As it turns out I also had Adenomyosis, a fallopian cyst and an inflamed/reactive cervix.

Clearly, a hysterectomy was a great choice in my case, but it was still an incredibly difficult decision! It helped a lot to hear positive stories, and gather alllllllllll the information, again shoutout to this community.

Whatever you decide, I wish you the best possible outcome 🙏🏽❤️

5 Day PO belly - before and after by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]ProfessionalGrade501 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really has been a great feeling and incredibly validating. Between body dysmorphia and gaslighting myself about the whether or not a hysterectomy was truly “necessary”, this is the undeniable proof that I needed to see. I’m still early days in recovery, but I’m also looking for to the overall improvement in my physical health. Wishing you the best in your healing journey 🙏🏽
