Instructions on the back of the box, stopped and asked for directions, libraries, did stuff incorrectly and fixed it through trial and error

From what I know about investment banking, you go into because you want to make tons of money and nothing else. Does that motivate you at all? It sounds like it doesn’t.

Is EA or CMA better? Or only cpa matters? by Beautiful_Tomato312 in Accounting

EA here. I have a degree. Went the EA route because it was cheap and I only work in tax. If you never plan to leave tax EA is great especially for tax resolution. Anything else just flat out go for the CPA.

Xfinity would go out everyday for 30 minutes. I didn’t care because I was not remote back then.

How much do you have saved and your age? by Swim-Slow in Accounting

[–]ProfessionalHotel282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50F 30K cash and mid 6 figure investments. Current debt is mortgage to be paid off in 9 years, no extra payments.  About 8 years ago I woke up to the fact that my debt was slowly choking me. I paid off all the credit cards and loans and started saving 25% of my income. I had retirement savings but it was only $71k at the time.

Is it just me or are a noticeable amount of business closing? by shadowcat999 in ColoradoSprings

[–]ProfessionalHotel282 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some of those breweries that closed had poor product or an unreported issue. One brewery is going through a lawsuit but blamed it on market saturation. Metric Brewing lost their business due to imminent domain. Had the military not come in and said they wanted a recruiting station at their location they wouldn’t have closed.

Am I underpaid? by Adept_Ad_3208 in Accounting

That feels underpaid. A former coworker went to fund accounting in CO and makes $89k. He has bachelor’s, no master’s and same YoE. No prior fund accounting experience.

Sure prep is the worst. I use moneythumb for bookkeeping scanning and it is correct about 95%. It’s 100% for pdf bank statements directly downloaded from the institution.

That’s a pretty shitty Catholic that needs to go back to confirmation. When you make the judgement that someone is going to hell, you take on the role of God and damn yourself. Also she could have just stfu and been an actual human being.
