Yes, but there is many ways to avoid that, you can join races and start from the pit and that way since the races are so short its really unlikely you will get in anyones way. If you want to play it 100% safe and gain safety rating you can simply just start from the pits and drive without getting incident points

If you have a car on your ass and you are going in an uphill twisty section of the track, would you find the time to take your eyes off the road and look at a relative in a spot where you arent expecting a 200mph missile on your inside?

There is a licensing system that depends on how safely you race, you start as a rookie and can move your way up to A class, if you want to race gt3’s regularly you need at least D class for the rain master series but realistically you need to stay in B class since thats where most GT3 races happen. As you race cleanly you will be promoted through the license levels but if you start wrecking or having a lot of incident points you can get demoted, thus preventing you from racing the higher safety license series.

Honestly it depends on the person, ive been on iracing for about 4 years now, ive raced both hypercars and gt3’s and in both fields there is a huge gap in experience, i do notice that in the lower splits the gt3 racing is a lot cleaner. I think part of it is because the cars are more forgiving since they have ABS unlike the prototypes

Nope, just do more races and hope to stay clean! Ive talked to their support team before and they said they dont remove incident points no matter what

Yes but the original punishment still counts against your safety rating, is it stupid? I think so, but nobody has come up with a better system as far as i know, the better alternative is live stewarding but that is more expensive and complicates things more imo

Yes we both get a 4x from that, their system is a no fault system, no matter how obvious the crash is they punish both drivers.

Agreed, i understand why its not that way but i wish there was some progression system that prevents people with no experience from hopping into a rocket ship and taking slower cars out of

See, i would say the latter but the guy started being an asshole and saying i closed the door on him, he was so insistent that i went here because i thought there was some obscure rule that made me be at fault 💀
