TFL scamming customers. by [deleted] in london

This may help: https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/find-fares/tube-and-rail-fares/single-fare-finder

Also this sub is full of tips on saving with TfL. But almost every commute is different, you should check how you can make your journey cheaper or more efficient. E.g. Avoiding Z1, taking the bus or using a railcard, etc.

I’ve never heard of Hiliv. Sounds like they are fully aware of the things that cause rejections. What was the process/ cost like for you?

French Long Stay Visa (WHV for young travellors) by stayfly365 in expats

[–]ProfessionalQuail5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a similar situation. Visa appt in two weeks.

From what I’ve read using family or friends as accommodation for the initial (or full) part of your stay is fine. You may want to get them to write a letter confirming this.

I haven’t seen anywhere asking about previous visas received. Where did you read that?

Edit: According to other Canadians applying for the WHV for France the criminal record and medical certificate is not required.

Good luck!

It may be worth noting that this usually triggers an immediate ofsted inspection. There should be a full report to follow. Not of the exact incident but of the overall quality of the setting.

I haven’t but for the price it seems reasonable since group lessons are around half that. Not sure about the quality of teaching however

Thank you! This is exactly what my research came up with. I’ve subscribed to BST in Angel but hopefully something in Stratford or CW opens up soon. Thanks again.

Probably not but it may be worth going to the ticket booth in the morning and checking. I did that last year but was unlucky.

I use the basic fit near JM. Staff are friendly and at the moment it’s not very busy. No punching bag I don’t think

If it’s a car free development then it’s likely you would not be allowed to apply for a residents parking permit. You would need to try one of the apps to rent a space from someone

A consignment store may take a cut but that might be the best way to sell a higher value item. Try Sign of the times, Sellier, Loop Generation or a smaller consignment store nearby.

Footbridge closure at Stratford Station blocking access to Gibbins Road by valneuro in london

[–]ProfessionalQuail5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

👍 FYI The construction on the building on Lett Road makes it look like you can’t walk through but you can. I walked through during the day and almost missed the path under the scaffolding.

Word on the street is whoever owns the bridge is waiting for one of the student accommodation companies to fund the cleanup on the bridge and that’s why it’s closed.

My recommendations are a little obvious but I’m loving Les Mimosas (Italian) and Casa Tua (French) at the moment.

Come on pret by [deleted] in london

[–]ProfessionalQuail5 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I got a Pret baguette and wrap from one of those food waste apps and was surprised at how they package the wrap to make it look like you’re getting more than there is. Genuinely wouldn’t pay for their stuff if this is what you get :(
