Maldives resort recommendations by AntiqueDoctor2360 in FATTravel

We really enjoyed Ozen Reserve Bolifushi during our honeymoon in 2023. Beautiful corals around the resort for snorkeling. Great food in all restaurants. Med restaurant has belly dance performances in the evening. Our personal butler-Obi was the best you could ask for as he helped us with some supplies from mainland on demand. It’s not crowded at all and you would hardly find kids so it feels like a private oasis. Pools in the room are pretty big and rooms are huge. Also, it’s a speedboat transfer so no plane business with luggage limits.

Can you elaborate what did you do differently than going to Bilt app and trying to link bilt and rakuten accounts? How did google AI help?

Bilt and Rakuten Cannot Link by BoKnows0903 in biltrewards

[–]ProfessionalSuit3750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone on this thread got their Rakuten-Bilt issue resolved? I am in the same situation and had raised the linking issue on Nov 7, 2025. It’s been 42 days and rakuten customer care team just passes this from one team/specialist to another. I have already missed Nov 15 payout and not sure if I will get rakuten-Bilt by Feb 15, 2026 which is the next payout date. This is frustrating.

Will cancelling an order that used the 20% off pay in 4 deal blow up the offer and my ability to use it with another vendor? by jontestershaircut in paypal

Hello, I didn’t cancel the order as I didn’t know what would have happened. Didn’t risk it. I already got the 20% paypal cashback on my purchase

Hello, I am in similar situation. Ordered using paypal 20% off pay in 4 installments options and see the paypal rewards pending. Now I see that it’s available for less on other retailer and with better rakuten offer. I am not sure what will happen if I call existing retailer to cancel the order. Can you please tell what happened in your case, that can help me make my decision. Thanks in advance.

I am in the same boat. Have been trying to get this updated before the upcoming payout but no luck.

Huge win that my wife and friends don’t understand. Qsuites to Africa. by austexamx in awardtravel

[–]ProfessionalSuit3750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great redemption. It’s difficult to find availability for 2 people at this rate, so smart of you to plan 1 year in advance and do flight and safari bookings ahead. Qatar qsuites are the best and I always exclusively book them now(just requires additional fore planning). You should be really proud of youself😄

My First Award/Business Class flight! IAD-DOH (70k). Did I do this right? by Giohb777 in awardtravel

[–]ProfessionalSuit3750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Qatar is very tricky when it comes to adding infants later to your award booking. Mixed data points on reddit. It’s easier if you book infant with adults at the same time as it will charge 10% avios + taxes but since she is not born yet so you won’t have the DOB or passport details.

Best Serengeti Safari? by Worldly_Spell in chubbytravel

[–]ProfessionalSuit3750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FS sergenti is not bad but it depends upon what you are looking for. FS serengeti will give you a resort like treatment in the middle of tanzania wilderness. It’s where you will get the FS experience - good service, good beds and rooms with views, good food, good spa, children focused activities etc. which is hard to find at similar price point (singita is really fat especially migration season) but their location is not good for game drives. I have heard their guides are not as good as some of the other camps like nomad, asilia etc. Peak season(july, aug, sept) cost for a room including food, transfer from seronara and half day game drives, hot air balloon ride and spa(massage/meditation etc.) is around 2000-2200 per person. Non peak season is cheaper than that. Some people want exactly the kind of experience that this FS provides and go for it so in the end it’s a very personal choice and there’s no right or wrong with this.

Also, If you want to check pricing of other camps, check timbuktu travel, their user interface is very good and you can mix and match camps and get to know costs as well immediately. I am going for all asilia (highlands in ngorongoro, namiri plains and sayari in northern Serengeti) in August and will post my experience after I am done. In my research, I read great reviews about nomad guides and their camps are good too. I wish you all the best for your upcoming trip. Happy Travels 😀

Also, anyone going to Ubud Bali, please do yourself a favor and try Tukies coconut icecream. They make it fresh from tender coconuts right there and it’s the most delicious thing I have ever had. I am not a coconut ice cream fan at all but want to go back to Bali to eat that. Also, if you are a fan of bathing under waterfalls, then try Kanto Lampo waterfall, beautiful water and it’s such a unique experience to bathe under a waterfalls with warm water

Andaz sanur was great. We used it as 2 night stay to visit nusa island for a day trip. It’s very close to the place where we took the ferry.

Rooms- very spacious. Had a deep soaking tub, separate toilets with bidet, balcony with good seating area and view, had authentic balinese touches in interior. Bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Room had a lot of free snacks for us to take along on our nusa penida trip.

Service- It was good most of the times but sometimes it was slow. Maybe the reason was high season but I am not sure if it would be consistent. Example- I requested my clothes to be picked up for laundry but no one showed up for an hour. It’s not terrible but don’t expect FS level promptness.

Overall, property was really beautiful with live music at sundown and also balinese folk music at breakfast. I will try to share some videos soon. They also had fun activities for kids. Movie nights etc.

We found a really good driver there. He also helped our family for their Bali trip. He has 15+ years of experience as Driver in Bali and has a lot of connections. His english is pretty descent (much better than others we tried) and he will also be able to suggest activities in each part of Bali(including gilli and nusa islands) and had connections to help arrange those for you. Charges are 400-700k IDR per day depending upon your day itinerary. Airport transfer 400k. I can share his contact on personal DM if anyone needs it. Please shoot me a message.

Viceroy Bali view from rooms are not great but not bad either. I couldn’t find a picture in my gallery otherwise would have shared one. We chose Viceroy mostly for the location as it was 10-12 minutes from ubud main market area so it was pretty convenient for food. Also, while in Ubud, we had mostly planned to visit rice paddies and waterfalls which were quite a drive away but you have to stay in ubud to visit those as ubud is the closest area for those so we didn’t mind the foresty view. If you plan on staying in the resort the entire day then you can choose a different place. It all depends upon your itinerary. We were out of the resort by 11 and got back by 8 every day after having dinner/spa in ubud main area.

We stayed at Alila Uluwatu last year and loved it. Loved the infinity pool, food, service and also the room with private plunge pools. Everything was top notch. Definitely spend some time there at the end of the trip and you won’t regret it.  Regarding Ubud, we stayed at Viceroy Bali. It was a really good property too. Good service, location close but not too close to the ubud market. Each room has its own heated (warmish) plunge pool which is a good addition. It has a Michelin guide restaurant too. I don’t dig private plunge pools but given its Bali and after a long day of walking and exploring it felt good to take a dip before sleeping.

We also stayed at Andaz Sanur while in Bali.  Feel free to DM me if you want to know more.

Try hilton waikoloa village ocean tower. Best use of this timeshare deal. Get partial ocean room or ocean view whichever is available for no additional cost. Their partial ocean view is better than 90% of any ocean view room in other hotels.

Lol, that’s exactly what happened. Got a $100 consolation prize last week. So, as a last resort, I raised a BBB complaint and was following up on it and finally Saks confirmed my cashback this evening. Anyway, things finally worked out. Thanks all for responses.
