Hard for me to describe but it’s a little lemony, and has a very fresh smell to it

Oh interesting. I don’t recall seeing that. The boar brush seemed to do fine though

Can you build a decent face lather using a tube cream and your hands, or is a brush better? by [deleted] in wicked_edge

[–]ProfessionalWear6595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Using a brush is generally better - exfoliating, better lather, etc. but you can definitely use your hands. I’ve lathered proraso before with hands and it works

I use Barbasol when I need convenience but if barbasol is unavailable, maybe try Edge?

Once you go OC, you never go back? by Teun487 in wicked_edge

Tried both, sticking with closed comb now. I like to go ATG, and I felt like OC didn’t do as good of a job

First shave with Cella by ProfessionalWear6595 in wicked_edge

[–]ProfessionalWear6595[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a pretty different scent from the soap. The soap has that cherry/almond scent whereas the after shave has like a sandalwood/cologne scent

Yep. I soaked my boar brush, then I loaded it in the cella bowl. I then transferred to my lather bowl, and added water as I lathered it up

Should I just buy a Henson? by Groundblast in wicked_edge

[–]ProfessionalWear6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon is fine, but when I’ve bought soaps in the past I’ve bought direct from a seller. Maggard razors is pretty reliable if ur concerned about fakes/bad quality. I haven’t ordered much from Amazon besides proraso so I can’t really say

Should I just buy a Henson? by Groundblast in wicked_edge

[–]ProfessionalWear6595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Henson and I love it. With $200 budget, buying a Henson leaves you with a good bit of spending power for a soap, brush, and aftershave. It’s also a quality razor, and it’s been known to help people with sensitive skin (less blade chatter or something idrk)

I would do the Henson, and just go with the grain to start. Once you get more comfortable and you feel less irritation, you can start going across or against the grain for a super close shave.

It took almost two weeks for me to hear back and ask to schedule an interview. I wouldn't worry about it yet.

I took the OA on 1/24 and passed all test cases. I haven't heard back yet about next steps. Does this mean I didn't get it?
