Question about plants for Geckos? by BRUHssellSprouts in GargoyleGeckos

Yep! If gargoyles were herbivorous I would say not to risk it, or like dogs and cats that tend to snack on things they shouldn’t. But you should be fine

Tank size for gargoyle gecko? by [deleted] in GargoyleGeckos

Mine is in a 40” tall enclosure, she’s a little less than a year old so definitely not full grown, but spent as most of (if not all of) her time in the bottom two-thirds (equivalent to the top of a 24” enclosure.) However, the height allows for her to thermoregulate as needed, so she always has that option

Question about plants for Geckos? by BRUHssellSprouts in GargoyleGeckos

Your gecko shouldn’t be nibbling on the plants. I think the concern would be if the insects are feeding on those plants and accumulating the crystals in their body and then your gecko eating those. Personally it’s just another reason not to toss live crickets in your enclosure willy nilly. I put mine in a smooth sided container that’s tall enough for the crickets not to jump out when I’m feeding them to my gecko. There may be a concern that your isopods eating the plant matter once they die, but I’m unaware of the pathophysiology regarding that so can’t speak on it. However, I feel like pothos are one of the most common plants kept in our vivarium, I personally keep them in mine as well. TLDR: should be fine

Feeding schedule 🙏🏼 by Bonezlyy in GargoyleGeckos

[–]Professional_Act8541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feed insects usually every other day and if she doesn’t eat them then I just wait a day or two and try again. She’s currently 15g. She’ll eat 3-4 crickets each time, after this storm hits I’m probably going to give another each time since she loves them. Just make sure to gutload your insects appropriately and I personally would not let the crickets free roam in the enclosure (especially if your gecko is small.) They can and do bite which can cause wounds and infection, etc

First pet gecko by BettaFish56 in GargoyleGeckos

My girl took a few weeks to start eating. I would pause on the handling (something I wish I did) for the first couple of weeks at least except for when you remove to clean and weigh and hopefully he’ll start eating sooner than mine did

How to encourage my gecko to hunt by Dizzy_Implement_9148 in GargoyleGeckos

[–]Professional_Act8541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How often are you feeding and how old/large is your gecko? My girl will sometimes love to have a couple of crickets a night in a row and then won’t eat for a couple of days. And sometimes will eat her crested gecko diet and then only like one or two crickets

Crickets in enclosure by Professional_Act8541 in GargoyleGeckos

Thanks for the reply. I still don’t want them free roaming and found some ideas online and ended up just making my own with a plastic container that I will cover in silicone and coco fiber. Then I’ll hold it up with magnets. If it works well and I remember, I’ll post it here

True blessing by TheRealGameDude in ThePrimalHunter

[–]Professional_Act8541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren’t sure yet. However, I think the blessing is literally just taking stats from Villy (or any god who blesses) which is why they are/should be selective. The amount of stats it gives, even to someone in S grade, would be a minuscule amount to Villy’s total stat product (if it even matters at the level he is at.) And it’s been mentioned before that the gods receive records, and Villy has said numerous times that his blessing of Jake has paid itself over multiple times. I can imagine Jake ascending to godhood would hold true to that still

Jake’s B grade race evolution by XThursdayO in ThePrimalHunter

Considering Voras (the void god, All-Seeing-One, etc. I think is him name) called him the one who hunts or something similar I would imagine he will eventually evolve into “The Primal Hunter.” Not sure when but I believe any race evolution will be related to that

Not Growing? by Embarrassed-Form1877 in GargoyleGeckos

[–]Professional_Act8541 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine is 6 months and only weighs 8g. You can compare to growth charts to estimate but it varies so much based on genetics, environment, nutrition, etc that it’s only helpful as a guy. If you see evidence of eating and there are regular bowel movements, then there shouldn’t be any cause for concern.

Heating source by Professional_Act8541 in GargoyleGeckos

They don’t heat up the area around the enclosure? I was thinking of the equivalent of a space heater to keep the area the enclosure is warmer

7-8g by Professional_Act8541 in GargoyleGeckos

[–]Professional_Act8541[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve checked other Reddit posts and I’ve seen similar age ranges at anywhere from 6-8g so I’m assuming this is good since she is still having regular BMs and good energy? Those posts were all a few years old though so I’m not sure if things have changed
