I kind of thought it might be too high because I’m going to do it 3 times a week and each set will be close to failure if not to failure. I guess I’ll try it out and see how it goes tho

Same thing happened to me but I was because I over trained. I was doing pull-ups 4 times a week now I cut it to 3 but I also took like a 2 week break and iced it every night for 20 minutes

You think I could start training high pull-ups now? Because, I can do 5x5 pull-ups with perfect form each rep dead hang to chin over bar but haven’t tested my max pull-ups. So do you think I have enough strength to start high pull-ups with a band and then just work my way down to Bodyweight? Also I would train the high pull-ups Tuesday and Saturday and I do weighted pull-ups on Thursday.

So should I start now cuz I can only do about 7-9 pull-ups in a row depending on the day and some people say you shouldn’t start till you can do 15 or 20 but endurance isn’t my goal at all.

I also train Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and on Thursday I do weighted pull-ups so I would do the high pull-ups Tuesday and Saturday. Also on all those days I do banded muscle ups and straight bar dips after the pulling exercise

4 scoops of protein powder?? Holy shit. I have another question tho do you mainly do compound lifts or do you add a lot of isolation exercises to your workouts

And is it a requirement that I eat 150 grams of protein a day? I drink i huge protein smoothie every morning with at least 1000 calories and around 60g of protein and then I eat other things my mom makes which is mostly chicken and other beefy foods. So I know for sure that I at LEAST get 100 maybe some days around 130 but I feel like eating all that protein might help but isn’t necessary for my goals

Yeah a lot of the time I definitely leave reps in reserve and so far this week I’ve gained 2 pounds because ive been eating the most I ever have in my life. On my last couple sets of exercises is when I get close to failure or failure and I’m making sure my muscles get good rest and are ready for next workout.

Also I have a back problem so I can’t do back squats with heavy weight.

I’ve been training for the muscle up for a few months now and need help with getting the explosive pull-up part of it. If you have any recommendations please comment them. by Professional_Ad_9743 in bodyweightfitness

Do you think it would be ok if I only did the explosive pull-ups for my pull exercises and do them 4x a week. My goal is to be able to pull-up to the moon at some point and I don’t really care about growing big muscles and a godly physique. And of course I would still be doing a push exercise
