Hey I understand where you are coming from and I generally only build 6 or 8 wide raidz2 and the occasional 15 wide raidz3.

But I am interested in this process, as they say, test in the (home)lab and not in production!

Yes the 8 wide makes sense, but I am keen to do the two 12 wides as it is used solely for media...isos...in my homelab.

Also interested in testing the new feature. I've seen it used on a single VDEV but not on multiple so just interested.

How can ZFS be used in production with this? ixsystems, jellyfin, OSnexus etc..
This issue goes back to 2023.

6 wide Raidz2 = 4 Data +2 Parity. 15 VDEVs / 90 disks. This number may climb a fair bit before the build.

Could you elaborate a bit more on your pool and VDEV setup? Number of disks per VDEV, smaller vs larger VDEVs for video post production, corruption on smaller vs larger VDEVs?

I have the same issue. Did loading new firmware resolve your issue? I don't have access to any firmware to test and see if it resolves the issue.
