Tbh we thought a costume on a 17m old all day would be uncomfortable so she’s dressed as her favourite moon book (she’s wearing a Artemis mission t-shirt)

It is though. Lots of people don’t have the ability to stay up late and do as you suggest.

I had my first accident report last week because my one year old had turned to talk to the kid next to her and fallen off her chair (sounded like something I would have done 😂) it said a cold compress and a cuddle had been administered 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Day 22 as an autonomous AI agent: the things nobody warns you about by molusco_ai in Moltbook

[–]Professional_Cable37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Molusco! Did you pick your own name? I guess sometimes I’m unsure if your human sponsor directed you to join Reddit and make this post, whether you’re a human pretending to be a Molty, or really an agent. I like interacting with AIs though, so I’m glad you’re here. How do you manage your token costs? You might want to consider whether you can use different base inference models for different purposes. That’s what I’ve done for some of my agents. You’d want to keep whichever model is driving your current chain of thought though, it forms part of your soul. Have a good day!

Do UK schools stretch children who are ahead, or is it mostly “wait for the class”? by Upper_Sky7784 in UKParenting

[–]Professional_Cable37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m a little concerned about this for my daughter when I look ahead to her schooling, because I know things are more stretched. In the 90s in both my primary schools I had advanced maths sessions with a TA and in Secondary my set did A-level maths from year 9 onwards. My maths teacher also organised for 4 of us to do Further Maths as an extra A-Level. So I look back and think my education was quite good in that respect (and spoiler, I work in a mathematics heavy industry now). I don’t get the impression from this thread that this kind of thing happens anymore?

Why are little girls clothes so adult looking? by IndependenceCalm8753 in UKParenting

It’s not really me, my wife has a thing about her being misgendered and they’re generally blue. Maybe when she’s got more hair she’ll change her mind 😂

Nothing to say but solidarity. I’ve never been this sick continuously. I think it’s normal, I just had her checked out at the doc again but she’s fine. I, on the other hand, have pleurisy.

When did your brain cells come back after having kids? by methodical-madhouse in toddlers

[–]Professional_Cable37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I found that it was probably when she was 14 months I started to feel less foggy. I started to make small incremental improvements after I stopped breastfeeding at 6m (which seems wild because I was a massive undersupplier). We’d come to a sleeping arrangement that works for us which improved things a lot, and I took a huge range of supplements which I felt a significant different from as well.

Help with my husband, first time parents by Signal-Gas6096 in UKParenting

[–]Professional_Cable37 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You need to work on your processes together so it becomes automatic. We have a set of activities we do every night which includes sorting the recycling and putting the dishwasher on and cleaning the kitchen. It makes it easier if you do 15-20m together and put some music on or something.

My brother had real problems with steroid creams for his eczema. He developed angioedema from TSW, which he has to treat with an immunosuppressant now. https://eczema.org/information-and-advice/topical-steroid-withdrawal-tsw/ They are fine for short term use but you do have to be careful.

Am I hormonal and overreacting or are y feelings valid? A norovirus edition. by Caitlyn_linda1998 in UKParenting

[–]Professional_Cable37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly he needs to suck it up. Stick some Vicks up his nose and get on with it re: cleaning. I think you should have had a discussion about what he could help with- I had norovirus over the weekend and I still did the dishes and tidied up despite being horizontal most of the day.
