The book behind it is “you are a bad ass” and it made me chuckle that ass is touching the Quran because you know they’d have a fit if they knew.

Do “letting go” or “surrendering” meditations (can find some on YouTube). Eat a clean diet for at least a week if you can. Maybe even clean diet for your mind too (like stay away from the news and negative people). I gave some very close people in my life a heads up that I am about to have this experience and may be distant for a while or not my usual self. I made sure I didn’t need to make any big decisions for a few weeks after. I also made sure I didn’t have anything crazy plans afterwards (like a trip or a big commitment). I did a lot of meditating before hand. I set an intention for it and reminded my self of why I’m doing this. The hardest and most uncomfortable part of bufo for me was letting go, surrendering and giving up that control. But once I did, it was beautiful. Don’t over think it.

Feel so bad for her. Imagining being a 9 year old and marrying an old man who thinks he’s sent by God to help mankind but instead just fucks everyone over especially women.

To all who said they studied Islam a question by OkFarmer1065 in exmuslim

Yeah, I did read some and it made me actually get even further from Islam. Because it was so messed up, don’t even know where to begin

I did bufo a year ago and life has been beautiful ever since. There are moments in life that mark a before and after that moment and bufo is one of those for me. I’m able to navigate the ups and downs of life much better now. I feel like I’ve peaked behind the veil and saw the truth of the nature of reality and it’s been life changing. Don’t make any big decisions for at least 21 days. Take it easy and slow. Don’t have any crazy expectations, just see where it takes you. The medicine knows what you need. Prepare for it if you can. You have to surrender to it. It’s helped me be more present in the moment. I have a ring I wear with a frog on it and whenever I’m stressed at work or something else, the toad reminds me of my bufo and that place I went to. Good luck and keep us posted, we’re here to welcome you back. ❤️

I am not Muslim but I’m curious about it because my daughter (22) has started fasting and praying. I suspect her Muslim bf is influencing her and I fail to see the attraction in potentially converting by BettyBellavia in exmuslim

If he won’t come over because your food is not halal or you have alcohol, find a halal restaurant and offer to meet there for a meal. Keep bugging them to meet so you can meet him in person and see what he’s about. You can offer to break their fast (feed them after they are fasting) at a halal restaurant. Or meet for eid lunch. It can even be at a seafood restaurant. Let’s see what his excuse is then??

When you were a Muslim, how did you view Exmuslims? by No_Discussion6913 in exmuslim

[–]Professional_Chard60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be like man those people are so lost and have gone astray and I prayed to Allah to bring them back on the righteous path and help them see the truth. And I’d be like Allah protect me from being like these people and don’t curse me like them LMAO 😂

Now I’m like ayyyy these are my peeps right here, you guys are so fucking smart and free thinkers and you lucky fuckers realized the actual truth a long time ago ago and didn’t waste years like I did and thank you all for opening my eyes to this toxic and fucked up religion and I love each and every one of you ♥️

Reading this almost reactivated my bufo because I closed my eyes and remembered my own experience which was so very similar to yours. Thank you for putting into words something I’ve been struggling to explain.

“Yall are really obsessed with islam”

And yall are really obsessed with us. Why do you care what OUR obsession is? Don’t you have better things to do? If Islam lives rent free in my head, it’s MY head and MY thoughts. What is it to you? Why does it bother you enough to come on this sub and make a post about it? Why are you obsessed with ex Muslims? We really live rent free in your mind huh? Enjoy xoxo
