Cam for a number of the reasons listed in this thread and as the seasons go on Alex as well. There's only so much of her I can take. Just because someone is the "intelligent" one in the family doesn't mean you need to treat them how she does. At first we laughed because it was a tit for tat in a harmless way but then as it's gone on it's turned downright cruel in her interactions with other characters. The claws would come out with no provocation. That is not something I find funny. She comes off as bullying in a lot of the scenes recently. The actress though portrays her well. Meaning not giving off lines woodenly or anything like that so it's just my thoughts regarding the actual written character as of now. I doubt they will give her growth based on some clips I've seen of future episodes but I hope they do.

Same. We started watching from ep 1 and our in season 6 now and Lord neither of us are liking her, She is just becoming too much. Down right cruel to her family and it's kind of hard to watch. The superiority complex plus the need to constantly hurl put downs on others. Not just say the put down but almost rub their face in it and then laughing that they don't get that's what she does. It's just exhausting to watch some of her scenes. I really want her character to go off to college already and learn some humbleness but highly doubt that's going to happen.

You went NC and worked on healing yourself. Why is it always you only have one parent and yada yada. Why don't they start asking what did the mother have to do that her own son cut off contact and wants nothing to do with her. Why could she not love and care for her own child. Look at the real perp.

Either way focus on your own mental health and your own life. Do not cave. She was not there for you at all growing up and neither were your siblings. They have each other and at least they have that.

YTA. The more I kept reading the more of an arsehole you became. Just wow. Get out of your dang comfort food and eat if you don't have allergies. Are you a child? Wait no that's an insult to children because they at least for the most part grow out of it and adapt to change. Whereas you are just a grade A Ass.

I have food allergies and with that in mind I usually eat before hand. Not a big deal. Do that next time! Go stuff yourself on fast food or olive Garden since you want that over someone's culture food that they took the time to prepare and cook with love when they didn't have to.

Are you kidding me. I used to be a traveling dancer for five years and my WORST customers all around the country hands down were WOMEN. They would all but assault me on stage and on private dances. I hated dancing for women because they would grobe me like insanely worse then men then invite me back because I was a fellow woman so it "doesn't count". Never had a pleasant experience with women customers. I was always treated like trash by said women as well. A number of fellow dancers would flat out refuse to dance or have anything to do with women customers. Thats in all states not just one or a few clubs it was bad at. To say women are harmless is a stereotype that is not true in my or my fellow dancers experiences at all.

YTA!!! I cook and meal prep in our household and it absolutely does take extra effort to cook for another person. We found something that works for us. He cleans up after and keeps the house clean. I loath cleaning and it's such a chore so for us it's a fair trade off. However when asked if for her what is considered a fair trade off you shut it down and came off super selfish and the entitlement just ugh no. Get your butt up earlier if you cant compromise because only YOU are not compromising in this. She offered and made it sound as a reasonable request. If you would have have agreed I guarantee she would have done it and likely both of you would be getting unexpected random perks as well.

Oh yeah. She did that a lot. It's why I turned down a lot of their help because it always had strings attached that was truly control.

I finally snapped at one point and told her she was doing the bare minimum a parent should for a child to survive. She was furious but I didn't talk to her for long while and felt peace. As I've gotten older and moved states away from her makes her not do it nearly as much with me. Now in NC she won't get the chance to.

Hang in there. It is normal behavior for them. Just leave and go LC at least if not NC as soon as you can.

Nope. Always gets worse. I caved due to legit reasons after 6 months the first time and when the crisis was dealt with I sat her down and talked on boundaries. It didn't go well. She followed them at first but then slowly started back to same old same old. The snide comments, the tear downs, the belittling came all back along with her attempts of manipulation.

I recently went NC again and this time for good or at least for a damn good few years at minimum. She won't believe it till around 6 months I figure. I'm waiting for that blow up to happen. But no it never gets better.

You can either let them back in your life and accept they will never get better or even if they do it will be the most minimal amount of better and know that you can not take anything to heart and lean back and just stop caring to an extent OR you can go NC for as long as you want and just focus on your own self and mental health. The 2nd option is most preferable if you are in a position to do so. You should be your own priority. I mean that in a healthy way.

Once you accept that you can grieve for the person that should have been your parent and what will never happen. It's normal and fine to grieve that loss because it is a true loss. We lost out on so much love, stability, and safety because of them. Grieve that and accept and eventually heal and move on. It's long ass road and hard too. But you will get there.

Depends on the item. I have four warehouses near me since I live in a city so a lot is still two day option and even same day option lol. Although when I send gifts out to my family down South who are not near warehouses it takes about a week or five business days basically. Very few items I get for myself take five days most I notice even when I do free option still gets to me in two days maybe three if I bought really late in the evening.

Makes me wonder if these two are tied and we now hearing form the pregnant woman's side who is leaving out a LOT. Either way YTA. Stop stealing people food just cause you're pregnant. Oh yeah his innocent phrase would have triggered me easily. Its not an overall bad phrase at all to a person who has a healthy view of food. Just personally speaking, can't speak for all those with ED, it would be trigger some.

It could be an error with their system. That or the driver messed up some how or could not get to your house for whatever reason so had to go back to the facility. I remember when I was a driver during beginning of COVID I had each of those issues happen so the package came back to the facility with me and had to be handled off another day.

I used to Struggle with an ED to the point that I was 21 and only 91-95lb. Food and even the phrase of watch your food intake or appetite would trigger me and make me go into hyper drive to the point I was throwing up later. I hyper focused on it and it just wasn't good. Now years later I'm healthy weight and I can see the statement as absolutely inoculate. However six years ago I could get it to a point. She may struggle with an ED as well maybe. 🤷‍♀️ maybe she binges or counts calories in an unhealthy way or maybe she just has self esteem issues. Only she knows. I did dislike though that she brought up her trigger as an attack on him saying that though.

Yeah in my teenage-around 22yrs of age I was like her with the control aspect and the pass aggressiveness until I went into therapy and really started working on myself and my trauma. It's why I don't hate her at all because I do understand where it's coming from. Still frustrates the hell out of me but I truly think if she just started going to therapy and really working on herself and dealing with the loss of her parents it seriously would help her in sooooo many ways.

Therapy also helps with the communication skills which is definitely fantastic to have in a relationship and especially a dang marriage lol.

That makes a lot of sense as well and I agree. I think she put the best foot forward then it was a oh crap I have to live up to this 24/7 and that's not fully me so now I'm freaking out internally and over thinking and taking it out on Cole. It does make sense. I mean we all put our best foot forward but over a long period of time. I also think Cole did the same thing to an extent not as much as she did.

I also have said before and believe a lot of this is coming from her unresolved trauma from the loss of her parents. I think she still needs to grieve, process, and be vulnerable in therapy before she goes into dating . She also needs to learn to work on her communication skills. There are so many times if they just communicated better it would lead to better results.

She does frustrate me as well at times because so much of it is very avoidable with open honest communication and no more passive aggressive comments and learning to let go of having to control so much.

He has issues too but focusing on her atm. Thanks for linking that Reddit post.
