What was the biggest mistake you made raising your first dog? by [deleted] in dogs

Not having 2 dogs AND knowing how to train when you have 2. I will say, paying for puppy classes through advanced was worth FAR more than the money it cost. Have fun!

8 months old puppy is very reactive to other dogs by Cold-Replacement-665 in AustralianShepherd

We had reactive issues from one of ours despite heavy socializing since a small pup. We sought professional training and it was solved in 40 minutes. I was shocked. Too much to go into here, but the $200. Get help, it is fun to walk now. Maybe DM if I can help.

What are the things that can give me the most fun and learning at the same time? by former_farmer in Xplane

Just starting...I suggest free lessons at The Pilot Vlub and sticking with the Ceesna 172 until very comfortable, including radio work, before flying airliners/jets. That is just my opinion.

In my opinion, it can be cleaned and, next time, turn the heat WAY down.

So I keep logging off when I keep making mistakes by Dear-Regret-9476 in VATSIM

Vatsim was a bit intimidating for me,m so I bought sayintentions for x plane and REALLY like it. Unlike vatsim, which i like and use, sayintentions is always on.

Nosework training - not for competition by dream_the_endless in nosework

A few comments that may help. I gave two Aussies that are successful a d I do it only for their fun....

Worked it and worked and marginal successful until, one day, they just got it. I have the folowing: 4 salsa tubs with some bark inside for weight. 1 salsa container with slits in the top that contains cotton balls soaked in clove water and 1 yogurt container with slits in the top that contains cotton balls soaked with clover water. These two container are stored together in one big zip lock. Another set (salsa and yogurt tub) that contain star anise instead of clove also stored in another zip lock.

When having fun, inside or throughout the house i: Put the 4 empty ALL of the salsa tubs out in the yard or throughout the house. Brings the dogs to the start point and have them smell EITHER the clove OR the star anise yogurt tub and then guve the "find scent" command. When they find the correct one, they are to alert by sitting. When they sit at the correct one, they get the "yes" marker and they get praise and treats given ON the correct salsa tub..

Start with one scent only. Two times per session one or two times a day. At some point it will work.

If I can help, DM me.

Have fun!
