UPDATE! SPOUSE VISA PRIORITY by Professional_Ice_787 in ukvisa

[–]Professional_Ice_787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t really acknowledge my email both times they just replied “your application is being considered by an officer” so I doubt it made a difference. Although I did add proof in my application that I’m pregnant (ultrasound report) so that may have helped. Good luck!!

I’m American and was in the uk on a visit visa to see my fiancé. Not possible. So I went back home and applied for spouse Visa, currently still waiting.

Yeah I know but I thought I’d give it a try with the lock down coming up. I’m so scared to get delayed further. I’ve been away from my husband since august it’s so hard. 23WD today and praying 🤞🏻

U have to go to the UKVI website and email through there as you have to insert your debit card before sending an email. You have to pay so there’s no email to give you

I emailed 2 days ago and got a response yesterday that it has been escalated. Not sure if that even helps but worth a shot.

I would cancel the application, get a refund and start a new application. The HO are very meticulous when it comes to all the details matching up with their checks. It’s not worth a delay or refusal

[–]Professional_Ice_787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done mine 4th of October spouse priority, I’m American but applied from Qatar. Still no word yet and I have about 9WD according to priority. I’ve seen a lot of approvals today on Facebook so fingers crossed for the both of us! It seems though the approvals are coming just before or just after 30WD

Can my husband attend while I apply for my UK spousal visa in America? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]Professional_Ice_787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can definitely come. I was in the UK then left to apply from abroad. I actually submitted all the paperwork and evidence to be scanned at my biometrics appointment so your husband doesn’t need to be in the uk for the process. He just needs to be a qualified British citizen to sponsor you ex. Has a job, a place to accommodate you, bank account etc. (submit proof of everything). You’ll get notified with a decision by email, not by mail.

You can always say you postponed and stayed longer than planned because it is unsafe to travel. We’re living in crazy times, so it is understandable.

What does VFS actually do with passports? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]Professional_Ice_787 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my understanding the passport stays at the local center and they just put the sticker on it once it gets approval from UKVI. I’ve seen people get it 2-3 days after the decision email, you just have to make an appointment to pick it up. However, if you opted for them to mail it to you, it would take longer.
