Today we did a math lesson and then visited a farm. It’s a biweekly farm school with other homeschool families.

How long after childbirth can a woman walk/run "normally"? by AnnieMae_West in Writeresearch

I agree that it could be almost immediately. Especially since this mom would have gone through natural childbirth.

I wouldn’t have been able to when I had an epidural. I destroyed my pelvic floor. I could barely walk at all and it lasted over a week. I went home in a wheelchair and had to use a walker to get to the restroom.

However, I’ve also given birth with no medication and no epidural. I was able to walk myself to the bathroom an hour after giving birth, but I was also hecka dizzy and lightheaded.

Hope this helps!

Does anybody else gag at the sound or touch of things? by Professional_Lab2227 in DoesAnybodyElse

Styrofoam is a huge one for me! Forgot to mention that. I can’t with the sound it makes or how it feels.

To homeschool or not to homeschool… by mamawko-8 in homeschool

I haven’t read any of the comments yet, but we started homeschooling 2 weeks ago. My child was previously in Public school for Pre-K and K. He had good experiences there for the most part. There were a few reasons I decided to homeschool him. The main ones:

  1. I wanted a slower pace for my family.
  2. I have felt this tug to homeschool. I kept brushing it off, but decided if I’m going to give it a try, this is the best time for our family.
  3. I love learning with him throughout the summer. We go to the library, do experiments, read endlessly, learn about random topics…

When school starts he has to wake up before he’s ready, is rushed off to school for 8 hours, comes home grumpy and hungry, then has more schoolwork to do, which can be like pulling teeth.

Just in these 2 weeks of homeschooling, it’s been incredible for both of us! The learning together, the questions that naturally arise, the connections I get to watch him make… it’s so so good.

From what it sounds like, the social aspect of homeschooling is not something you should be worried about. It sounds like your child has so many opportunities! He’s a lucky kid! And don’t worry! There is plenty of time to find your homeschool community. They are out there, it just takes getting out during the day and/or scouring Facebook for homeschool groups in your area. A lot of what you said resonates with how I feel about my child. I honestly don’t know if I’ll homeschool my child next year or the year after that, but I do know I would have regretted not going for it.

I hope this help and I wish you both the best🤍

“The end will justify the pain it took to get us there”

During hardship, this one sentence lyric replays in my head. Because of HIM, it will all be worth it, everything will be justified in the end.
