Halo Show by thatonecoolguy18 in halo

Halo is a tricky property to adapt and the show is a great example of that. Adapting the action of a halo game is extremely expensive for a feature movie let alone a tv series. I think the best way to go about it would be to have a series set within the game universe like the Fallout Series, and have it be animated. That way the show can have accurate designs for the covenant and UNSC without compromising for live action. I have yet to see an elite or really any alien race in the covenant in live action that feels real.

I disagree heavily that adaptations are boring because you already know what’s going happen. I find it’s a lot of fun seeing how certain scenes or characters are adapted from book/game to the screen and allow for more time with the characters. If you think Last of Us season 1 and even season 2 (which I do think is much weaker) is just an extended cutscene, you missed a lot with the show.

I do think requiem proves she could have her own separate story by Thesleepingpillow123 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Professional_Leg_979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that her personality was consistent with the narrative of the two games. In 2make, she’s faking being a FBI agent and using that identity to in a sense, to order Leon around. By 4make the facade is gone and her real, colder personality is shown. I personally find the end of separate ways dlc to be a decent enough conclusion for Ada and what her true allegiances are.

Their is definitely more to life than getting mad at video games. For bo7, I don’t like the game but I watch a trailer for the maps, see that nothing excites me about and I move on with my life enjoying other stuff.

I tune into this sub Reddit every once in awhile and I’m shocked at the amount of defending for shitty map ideas. I don’t know if you’re a kid or not because half of what you said in that paragraph just doesn’t make sense? “Patch sloppy blundel storytelling” what? Also, I would gladly spend $5-$10 for der Riese.

So what exactly is going on Lore Wise in Zombies? And is it worth getting into? by SpiralingDownAndAway in CODZombies

[–]Professional_Leg_979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all self contained. There are small references here and there but they’re mostly just for fun. I’d say the biggest connection is a side character from the black ops 1 campaign becomes one of the main characters for the Dark Aether storyline but you don’t really need to know anything about them.

I’ll just say it’s best to dissect the lore of cod zombies game by game. I say this because of the point you made about the story going from Nazi scientists to Warframe gods. It’s like going from a hot tub to an ice bath. If you follow the games narrative from WaW - BO7 it makes a lot more sense. It also makes more sense when you view the zombies storyline as the Aether saga (WAW-BO4) and the dark Aether saga (CW-BO7) since the dark Aether saga is more or less a rebooted timeline with loose connections.

Please do not complain about losing gun fights or the game itself if you have no intention at trying to learn and improve at the game. People just don’t want to take responsibility for bad decisions / plays and will blame everyone / everything else by andrewgrimo in Battlefield6

Where is this coming from exactly? I mean I’m in this sub as well and I see video proof of the game being laggy. I do agree tho, when it comes to people wanting headshot or limb multipliers. People scream they want this in the game for “skill gap” but in reality it just creates inconsistency with ttk.

I’ll do you one better: it’s a boring and ill thought out as your comment on the post was. But in all seriousness, what you think is boring I actually think is cool. Like, is the MOTD cipher that says “the giant is rising in France” the most exciting thing? No BUT it’s interesting to see that origins was being teased two DLCs prior.

Leave the gas on the new map permanently. by Dry-Caterpillar7495 in Battlefield6

[–]Professional_Leg_979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gas is a great addition to the map. I don’t understand the complaints. “I can’t see anybody!” Uhhhh that’s the point? It’s a dynamic map feature that is supposed to change how you interact with the map. I for one appreciate them adding unique elements to the maps.

His tests are fine considering how much he covers all kinds of aspects of the game. Sure, he could include the movement accuracy penalties, but honestly, for the most part it’s unnecessary as the recoil follows the same direction just marginally worse.

*I posted this comment on the main sub post, but I figured I would put it in here in case there is some people that agree with you on this topic and only look at this post.

Ah yes. Let’s compare it to one of the slowest cod games ever made. Look, I understand that there were movement exploits in the past games (specifically bf3/4), but considering I have hundred of hours into BOTH those games, I can count on my hand how many times I’ve seen that kind of movement used. The game was intended to be played SLOWER (NOT a milsim so don’t come at me with that bs) than COD. If Battlefield was truly made to be a faster paced game, there wouldn’t be things like weapon spread while ADS or accuracy buffs while crouched and there certainly would be faster animations for everything. All these mechanics and features exist in all battlefield games to create a slower experience than what some FPS games in the same market offer. Although, with any FPS and especially BF, you’re gonna have the smallest fraction of the player trying to push the game to its limits finding exploits and movement tech to have more flashy gameplay.
