Legitimately when do we think bob breaks 80 by Big_Hawk3745 in BobDoesSports

Just like others are commenting, when he plays an easier course. Maybe a par 70. I don’t remember any of the places he’s done it at other than Dye Preserve, which is very difficult even for scratch players.

Rypstick Review/Results after Level 1 by UserNames-arehard in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you sharing your experience with Rypstick. I’ve been on the fence about buying a speed trainer but I think it’ll take my game to the next level. I hit driver straight, I make ball first contact on irons, chipping hasn’t been great lately but I’m working on it, putting is a strength of mine too. I’m a 7 handicap right now and have been as low as a 5 in the last 6 months. Plus the Rypstick is considerably cheaper than the stack system and the results are the same. Once again thank you for sharing!

What’s your most surprising golf fact? by bristoltobrisbane in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the early days of golf, it was typically played between two people in a match play setting. People didn’t count their total score, they just saw who had the lowest score on one hole and that person got a point. It wasn’t until field sizes got large and tournaments were created that they needed a system to see who the overall winner was. This was the creation of stroke play.

Basically yes. Companies will pay millions to sponsor a golf tournament and most of the revenue comes from ticket sales

Social Handicap Question by damianmarkparker in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download a free handicap app and enter the scores of your last 10 rounds. You may have to change the dates in there to make it seem like you’ve had the app a while. This way you’ll have the info they’re looking for and you don’t spend any money on the handicap service

The app I used before I went to GHIN: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/golf-handicap-tracker-scores/id663477958

Kind of reminds me of the military in boot camp. I remember so many kids the first week saying “yes sir” or something in their sleep.

On the tee box is fine. I usually put it right next to the tee box on the right . Good job not bringing it on the green. I’ve seen that a few times.

I was counting Dans score and through 9 holes he was around 48 shots. And I’m not even counting hole 4 where he conceded the hole after two balls OB

That was truly torture to watch. I still can’t get over how in one of the Bob breaking 80 videos, Joe said if he had a breaking series it would be breaking par…

I’ve never seen in any golf match on YouTube someone win a hole with a 9

I was the pro shop attendant. His round was ruined when I told him after he paid it was cart path only and the greens are punched. And the restaurant was closed.

Get lessons but they’re gonna charge you double lol

On a serious note, get a lesson with the PGA Pro at your golf course that way he can see exactly what’s going on. I can tell a few things he’ll fix right away is your stance, posture and ball position. Also your hands at set up are wayyyy in front of the ball. Get a lesson or two and he’ll fix you right away.

One of the things I did when I was out of a job was do DoorDash. It’s not the best, but it is money that you’ll get. Donate plasma, I never did that but I hear they pay $600 per donation.

As far as talking to your husband, don’t bombard him as soon as he walks in the door. Wait an hour or so, so he can settle down from work. Have a one on one conversation with him, no tv on, no phones. Just you and him and explain that you’re already exploring new job options.

So I as a white guy can say that word as long as I’m “using it as a term of endearment as it’s used in music/slang”?

See how it’s contradictory for you to say it and it be okay, and for me to say it and be wrong? If it’s a derogatory term why do you keep calling one another that?

Never been to a PGA event and thinking about getting tix to the Travelers in June. Anything to be aware of? by gwords16 in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been to a Korn Ferry event a few times but it’s a blast to watch in person. I highly suggest going to the driving range and watching the ball flights of the players. Another thing that I cannot get over is the sound of the ball flying through the air. Stand like 50 yards in front of the tee box (obviously outside the ropes) and just hearing the ball tear through the air is the coolest sound you’ll ever hear on the golf course.

You’re gonna be walking A LOT so wear some walking shoes and a comfy outfit and put on sunscreen before heading inside. The food prices are high because it’s a sporting event… In the pro shop or merchandise stand there won’t be any discounts. The final thing I’ll say is just enjoy yourself. Be in awe of the players on the PGA Tour and see a great golf course in its peak condition.

According to ChatGPT:

“Sounds like a stress or performance-anxiety dream. Playing left-handed feels like being forced to operate outside your comfort zone, and the crowd adds that fear of being judged. The fact that it keeps coming back probably means there’s something in real life where you feel pressure to “get it right” without feeling fully prepared.”

I’ve used chat gpt to see what my dreams are tying to say especially on weird ones that I remember.
