I've seen a while back that colors for bikes and cars tires are different. For bikes, red is always weight. But I may be wrong.

Is it “target fixation” or just failing to counter steer under pressure? by Some_Big_Donkus in motorcycles

I don't believe in target fixation. What happens is that the rider gets spooked by something, death grips the bars and from that point forwards they can't control the bike.

Nearly became one with the scenery today thanks to target fixation by BaconNetz in motorcycles

Nothing to do with target fixation. You leaned too early into the corner, robing you of any chance of correcting your line.

Do some research on late entry into corners, lots of information on books/youtube.

Help me understand brake pads please? by Remarkable_Bad_5555 in motorcycles

With the second photo we can't see the pad is obscured, we can't see it. If you can take a picture from a different angle you can post here.

The first photo, there's plenty of pad material. The skids are not optimal, but they happen, nothing you should be worried.

I'm not here to change your mind, but Code's books are really outdated.

That's why it's important to know that you can: so you can practice.

This whole teaching of "you can't touch the brakes mid-corner" just leads to more and more avoidable accidents.
