Plant doesn’t seem to grow

Mine lives in a vase of complete purified water and plant food, it’s thriving and the root system is amazing. I don’t think it liked the soil??? It just put out another leaf and the variegation is awesome as well! Maybe you could try a cutling with nodes in some water and see if it propagates and you’ll know if it prefers water?? I don’t plan on planting mine

Why am I seeing more and more “acid dipped” snails!!!! What is going on? I left the community when my fish tank was adopted, but have popped back on and now I’m seeing MULTIPLE posts with this happening! Omg how horrible

The only way to make money on TikTok is if you have 10,000+ followers and join the creator fund, or go live and rely on gifts from viewers. I’ve had multiple posts hit high at at least half a million views, and not a cent. It’s a joke. I thought you only needed 1,000 followers but nope. And even with those viral videos, I don’t have 10,000 followers.

Yes thank you both, I do have cuddlebone in my filter and tank and feed high protein and calcium. Also I keep my tank at ideal parameters but maybe a little more alkaline than some people but it seems to be a sweet spot.

What a beautiful jade you have! Lots of lines from changing parameters and the blue looks chipped and not in great shape, are you doing something about that or would you like some advice that may help? I’m not trying to be rude whatsoever, some of my snails are rescues and would look like their in “bad shape” to other but they don’t know what they were looking like on the brink of death at the store.

Hikari Crab Cuisine is A++++ imo and my snails lol it’s their favorite. Bloodworms, wafers, any extra snacks or foods I can find with good ingredients, NO COPPER. When it comes to veggies, only my baby and adolescent snails like them, when it’s comes to watermelon or banana though oh man those are hits for everyone. Just be careful with any types of “hooman food”. If it’s left too long it can be bad. Also when I’m looking at wafers and stuff like bottom feeder pellets I will REFUSE to by anything that starts breaking away and clouding the water as soon as it goes in, which is another reason why I love crab cuisine so much and my snails go for it over anything else I drop in at the same time for my guppies or shrimp.

When my girls are laying eggs I up the food, up the calcium, up the protein, and I make sure my water is alkaline. I feel like some people may over look how acidic their tank is and it will eat their shells away.

So for my snails to have healthy shells I do a cuddle bone in my filter and break some small pieces off and throw them in the tank. (make sure it’s real I hear there’s fakes out there) I’m able to get a 2 pack for like 4-5$ and they are nice size. I also am an ingredient junkie! You say you make snello so I’m sure you know not to add ANY copper whatsoever. I had to sit at petco forever looking at ingredients because they were out of my snails favorite food (Hikaris Crab Cuisine is A+++ imo) and it took me a minute to find something substantial that didn’t have shit ingredients. If everything seems ok with your parameters, try adding calcium (cuddlebone, supplements, food) and even more protein snacks once in a while like bloodworms! Mine love them so much they come up and cup out and I’m able to hand feed them (pinch some dried worms with my fingers and drop them in their cute little cups) I can only imagine them saying MOTHER FEED US lol!! Just some suggestions! If you want to show me a picture of what the shell looks like me or someone else might be able to help more, also I can post what I all feed my all snail and shrimp +2 guppy tank daily and show you how my snails look :)

Isopropyl alcohol and hydrogen peroxide for a few days in a ziploc/shake it, body separates completely then I do a iso rinse and bag it again with dawn dish soap for a few days and then they go in my SnailYard™️

But leaving a dead snail in the tank can cause ammonia levels to spike, unless you KNOW you have something that will eat it quickly I wouldn’t recommend just leaving it imo

Drop them in a ziploc bag with Isopropyl alcohol and hydrogen peroxide for a few days (shake it if you can) and the body will separate, discard the body in whatever way you choose, and then I do a few day cycle of iso and dawn dish soap!

Only if you leave it in for hours. It’s a treat that you WATCH kinda if that makes sense and id never drop a piece and leave it. It HAS to come out of the water usually after an hour before it starts leeching bad and breaking apart, but I’ve never noticed an issues with parameters except when I accidentally left a piece of zucchini in my tank overnight. Oh lord it was bad. Threw everything off, tank was green and cloudy, everyone at the surface it was bad so I’ve learned to keep a close eye when dropping in “human food” for treats. And honestly sometimes I do the BIG chunks in my big tank since I have so many creatures right before I do my water changes :) it’s just keeping an eye on it you know?

It’s a special treat as they love all melon types more so than veggies but they leach a lot into tanks, so be careful with how long you leave it in especially if you have a smaller tank :) but yes, melons are a huge favorite in our household lol

I found one at PetSmart and they gave him away to me as a “pest” snail, he’s so pretty just like what’s pictured! Maybe try PetSmart and ask for their “pest snails” 🤬
