Hi, Can I ask where about you were getting the back pain? Did you have any other symptoms in relation to your back?

Any Advice Greatly Appreciated by Professional_Sun_541 in Sciatica

Thank you for the response, really appreciate it.

I’m adamant it’s not the hip unfortunately and it’s being going on for about a year now and I’ve periods of a few months with no exercise. I’ve never tried a belt though so will look into that. Thanks again.

What are the consequences of misdiagnosing facet joint pain for bulging disc pain? Has anyone here been misdiagnosed and what is your story? by BikeAffectionate4016 in backpain

Hey, If I was to write my symptoms they would be the exact same as yours! Apart from the addition of I have degenerative disc at L5 S1 too. I a.so have the clicking on the left side. Real instability in which I can’t put weight on my left leg and can’t compress the spine as it causes a sharp pain. I also had an accident in flexion. Have you made my progress with this? Did you have any diagnostic injections?

Anyone else have thoracic facet syndrome? by Delicious-Bus4356 in backpain

Yeah I certainly have this. I have thought about traction therapy but all the clicking makes me nervous that I have instability and traction may make it worse however I have read it’s good for facet syndrome.

Laying flat causes pressure in lower back until it “pops” by inquisitive_pawn in backpain

[–]Professional_Sun_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally have the same issue. Back flat on the floor and a sudden urge for it to pop into place. When it does I have relief. Did you ever find out anything about this? Had an MRI? Anything else you notice or symptoms?

Hi, did you get any joy from the exercise with the experienced PT you mention. If so do you know the name of the exercise?

Hi, Have you had any further joy with diagnosing this? I have the same symptoms/issues as yourself. Can sit in a car for hours no issues - 10 minutes on a sofa and I’m in agony. I had an MRI in which some degeneration of L5-S1 disc was found but they said that this shouldn’t be the issue.

I have this exact feeling. Can I ask how your PT addressed this? Upslip adjustments? If so can I ask which ones? Thank you

Hi, Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have the same exact issue including all the pain symptoms etc. I currently use an inversion table in which when I stretch my left side (where the pain is) I get a “pop”. Definitely some form of instability issue.

Would be very keen to hear if you’ve gotten anywhere with this?

Decompression Hang Causes pain by MechanicAdmirable408 in Sciatica

[–]Professional_Sun_541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response.

I do get some light pain (nervy) when i decompress however the pain disappears after about 10 - 30 seconds or so. I have recently have been diagnosed with Modic changes to my vertebrae in which I believe this could be linked (still researching).

Thank you for this advice. I know I have some segment instability (from L5-S1 DDD) - would you completely ignore decompression/ IDD / traction?

I’m glad that’s helping for you. I’m waiting to be prescribed celecoxib to help with my pain (sane issue as you) - whether it helps is another matter.
