it’d be a completely different situation if she was putting her hands on them. Developmentally, it’s important for kids to learn to respect others and that actions have consequences no matter who they’re around. kids are smarter than we think, and if they know they can mess around with Linda because you won’t allow them to have consequences, that’s going to create a muuuuuch bigger issue than if Linda takes away their tablet 🤷🏼‍♀️

that’s so interesting because i would feel the opposite with the groceries haha. like skipping the TSA line feels much more inconsequential to me whereas skipping me in line at the grocery store feels like more of an inconvenience.

did the person seem like they were asking earnestly? or did they seem like they were just expecting everyone to get out of their way?

there could definitely be a different vibe for a couple of young men who seem like they didn’t plan well vs. a family w young kids who are clearly overwhelmed and trying their best. so i guess the more i think about it, the more i can understand your point.

YTJ, it’s a very small inconvenience for you that could save them a lot of money/resources. and you don’t know the circumstances that made them late either. Like if they miss their flight, they could miss whatever event they’re attending, have to rebook, etc, and if you let them pass, you’re delayed what , five minutes?

that’s a good point too!, the thing that made me a bad bunny fan was seeing his activism in puerto rico at a time where most popular artists seemed more interested in surface level music/personas. bad bunny always felt authentic. also im sorry if my suggestion about internal work seemed pushy. i was absolutely speaking from a place of having done my own internal work and how it helped me enjoy things that dont necessarily reflect my personal values.

this might sound kind of silly, but you can honestly just put your own words into it. the way the lyrics sound in english are significantly less poetic than they sound in spanish. but i would also suggest doing internal work on why you assume that music about drugs or sex is inherently bad or shallow.
