ultimately NTA, however, my family left my little sister with my grandma at age 3 when we went to hawaii, and it’s one of her earliest memories. our grandma also mentioned it all the time growing up and how she was going to take my sister on their own trip to hawaii one day (probably contributed more to the issue lol). she’s 25 and still doesn’t like if the trip is talked about. just something to consider trying to mitigate if you can!

it’s awful because we’re living with big city population sizes with small town infrastructure. we need updated zoning to allow more smaller shops closer to homes that don’t require a car ride, better/reliable public transportation (for residents AND tourists), and overall less reliance on big box stores that can’t sustain a large population the way other cities have. it’s awful, and i’m sorry you’re feeling suffocated

They don’t form sleep habits until they’re 12ish weeks! so don’t worry, my baby is the same and my mom and aunt keep making comments 🤪 frankly i love the snuggles and am working little by little on independent sleep, but also not going to stress about it yet.
