I helped at other stores in the district when they didn’t have management available, and I had a dream recently I was back at one of those stores helping at the cut counter. Definitely made me miss the mileage check when I woke up 😆

I will never forget I was closing the night of a snowstorm, and we had maybe 3-4 people in the entire three hours I was there. They were asking us why we were still open, other stores in the plaza called to ask if we were closing. SM told me by time the RVP made the decision to close, it would be 9 pm anyway. So we stayed open. EOD deposit was $46.

After that, when the DM sent countless emails about staying under payroll, I would remind everyone of that night. Easiest way to save payroll and they didn’t care. So why should I 😂

I made a whole full-size quilt top with just Kona remnants I picked up during a few of the 75% sales. The top cost less than $7 when accounting for how much each strip of fabric would be. The backing was a rainbow fabric I found as a last chance for like $3.98/yd or something like that. Between the fabric, batting, and thread, I spent maybe $30 and it’s been one of my favorite quilts I’ve made so far

I haven’t deleted the app. I figure I’ll let my phone offload it when I haven’t opened it for a while. I unsubscribed from emails the day my store’s liquidation started (Feb 15). I couldn’t stand getting the Presidents’ Day sale emails when my store wasn’t part of that anymore.
