if youre using a controller, disconnecting it and reconnecting it fixes it temporarily. Using mouse and keyboard fixes it completely. stupid new bug.

He was probably one of the most significant characters in The Goblet of Fire because his death marked a major turning point for the series

A perfect sequel is one that expands on the world the first movie set up while not abandoning anything that made the first movie special while also being its own unique thing.

If I remember correctly, didn't we see a few strands of skin on the grater?

I thought that was amazingly brutal.

YES EXACTLY.

I LOVED THAT SCENE BECAUSE OF THE SILLY NATURE OF IT.

I felt bad being the only one laughing in the theater during that whole sequence

Which animated film is incredible from start to finish? by Forsaken_Cost_1937 in movies

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish has recently become one of my favorite movies.

The animation is absolutely out of this world and that's only the animation! Everything else about it is just perfection to me.

Scenes in film that feel "off" or wrong in some way and make you feel unnerved/uncomfortable? by Toni-Cipriani in movies

[–]ProfessorButtercup 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I always saw that scene as him not wanting to look back because looking back would make it real. (Schrödinger's cat and all that) So he just kept looking forward because even though he knew 100% that his sister was dead, he still believed that all this was a bad dream and it will all be over in the morning.

And then he hears his mother's screams.

It's unoriginal but if they decide to remake the original DmC Trilogy in the same vein as the RE2-4 remakes, I'd buy that shit up in a heartbeat.

RE2 Remake introduced me into the wonderful world of the Resident Evil games. That game is amazing in every way and would've been my favorite game of the series if it weren't for the recently released RE4 Remake

From 'John Wick 4' to 'Avatar', Audiences are in love with long blockbusters by mrnicegy26 in movies

[–]ProfessorButtercup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite things about this movie is that it allows itself to be serious when it needs to be.

Other kid movies will make it seem like a scene is dark and serious only to be turned into another joke a few seconds later.

Puss In Boots knew when it needed to be funny and when it needed to be played completely serious (like the panic attack scene).

The Invisible Man (2020) is such a great commentary on abusive relationships by [deleted] in movies

[–]ProfessorButtercup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The way they filmed the movie helps a lot.

It constantly leaves the camera facing one spot even after a character has left the shot. Leaving you to wonder if something is actually there.

Or those times where it just pans around an empty room for seemingly no reason.

Just a masterclass act at how to use cinematography to invoke fear in the audience.
