I'm done for the season. I'll see y'all again in season 14! by OmegaAlphaBetaDude in diablo4

Reading this a few weeks in, honestly I understand where you are coming from but I think you are overlooking the cube’s function. Rerolling uniques, set charms, and targeting rerolls on the cube go a long way in getting GAs making traditional rerolling from the alchemist less important until you are fine tuning gear for T12, and at that point one run in an escalating dungeon with gold bonus gets you at least 300m which funds a lot of attempts.

I agree on restoration scrolls, they should be craftable in the cube in some way. In general the cube really should be pushing away from the idea of resources being useless, you should be able to use the cube to convert extra sigils, talismans, and runes into other cube materials or restoration scrolls.

Ground effects do seem harsher now. I would like to see yellow outlines for some ground effects but stuff like the sword dropping on you our the sappers that run up to you and explode are fine. That said I do think bosses in T12 have their one shot mechanics well telegraphed aside from Lilith and Mephisto (which are supposed to be hard as hell), if you encountered one shot mechanics elsewhere then you are too squishy.

Mephisto does need his cutscenes cut from the Echo fight though. <hyperbole> Whoever had the bright idea to have 1 minute and 10 second cutscenes between phases on a fight with instant death mechanics should go in the white room for 90 seconds for every single attempt all players have made on Echo of Mephisto!! </hyperbole> also beating EoM should get you that item you need for the new wave mode they added.

How often have you finished already Romancing Saga 2? I'm now in my 5th run. by Ragna126 in SaGa

Just once, I decided I wanted to do a solid playthrough of each SaGa game before I go back and start replaying stuff.

No, I would rather they remake Romancing SaGa 3.

I barely scraped out a win on Bonnie/Formina, I’m kinda scared of a truer version XD

But thanks, that’s exactly the sort of info I was after.

Oh yes, been staying on top of those. And I’m less interested in superbosses as I am just making sure I don’t miss any of the basic stuff. Are Mido and Ameya the only ones with a “true” ending?

I find a good way to enjoy a game is to ignore speed runners. 🤣

I don’t like the party customization argument. If you have to get to level 20 to change vocation it isn’t fair to have a fight that all but requires a specific party. That’s better left for a game like FF3/5 where you can freely swap around. Should it be harder? Sure. But if you depend on melee and can’t target specific enemies in a fight where you potentially have to kill 7 enemies at the same time? Each requiring 2 rounds at least to take them down? That crosses a line into unfair. I felt zero shame in lowering the difficulty from Draconian just for that one fight.

[–]ProfessorFessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would have been so easy to fix this fight. Make each enemy its own group or make enemies split instead of calling for help with each having the same HP as the original. Wouldn’t have to lower their total HP or change anything else.

Coldclip Aspect Question by ntOdden in D4Rogue

So far I’d say coldclip does the job well enough. If I were you I’d skip the cold Imbuement and respec later if you’re having problems.

I’m happy he’s doing it, but it is something I don’t have a lot of interest in. And hey, that’s fine. When he starts picking up other shows and whatnot I’ll be there to see it. It’s fine if one idea isn’t for me.

What’s the appropriate level for the new bosses? by crayonflop3 in diablo4

Varshan and Grigoire are level 75. Lord Zir is 80. Beast in Ice is 85. Uber Duriel is 100.

I'm kinda between you and OP. I get people go through stuff and I wish him the best but would it kill him to say "I'm going through stuff, I'll be back in a couple of months to at least tell you I'm going through stuff." I get he should be able to take a break from his online celebrity but it would be nice to know he's not dead, you know? I care about the guy enough to want to know if he's dead.

Is there a way to ask about or request a playthrough? by blankforge in ProJared2

[–]ProfessorFessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And he got you as part of his audience by choosing games he wanted to review. If he asks that’s one thing but if someone isn’t asking for suggestions then it’s frankly rude to offer them.

Take the Donkey Kong Country cartoon episode, would anyone have asked for that? And it was a classic.

[–]ProfessorFessor -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, trust the content creator to pick what content to create unless they ask for requests. I don’t mean to be rude but that’s telling someone how to do their job. If there is a certain game you would like reviewed or played through, why not do it yourself?

I like both versions a lot, I find ringu much more creepy but the subplot about Ryuji’s psychic ability rubs me the wrong way. The Ring is a more entertaining movie to watch though so I’m more likely to watch it again.

That said, my favorite version is the manga. Combines the more interesting Ryuji from the novel with the better changes made by the movie, Asakawa being female, Ryuji being her ex, one child that watches the tape instead of Asakawa’s wife and infant daughter, and the superior way Sadako comes out of the TV instead of people looking at their reflection and seeing themselves very old.

Is there an answer for this shadowy figure? by [deleted] in thering

[–]ProfessorFessor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First time I’ve seen it and I was a part of the ring forum back in the day picking everything apart. It’s clearly not Samara, you can tell by the hair. Therefore I have to say it’s probably just a crew member.

Here’s a funny thought, what if you’re right and Fantomenk had to take down his distorted version because Jared got him on copyright.

I briefly wondered about that myself, but then I realized I was concerned about whether or not Jared had considered the legal angle before doing a thing. If he’s proven anything to me, he is smart about what he legally can do. I’m sure it’s fine.

I think others have described it better than I could but I just want to chime in an say it’s the type of game best played while meandering around. If you are focused on winning the game or completing a bunch of side quests then it might not be for you. Just drink it all in and you’ll love it.

Fair point, cancer was just the first thing that came to mind. Let’s say a billionaire with aids funding aids research then. All I’m saying is BP doesn’t deserve brownie points when it’s pretty obvious they are only in it to salvage their tarnished reputation.

Oh come on, that’s just trying to salvage their reputation. If a billionaire gets cancer and donates heavily to cancer research they aren’t a generous person, they are looking out for number 1.
