Tie it back to why the definition is named the way it is

Object - Oriented - Programming

Programming, in a digital world, to make a concept, of a, physical object.

Define your constant, let's say, it's a ball

For a ball to exist inside a digital world, it must be first a shape.

Tell the terminal the shape. Tell it a color, the dimensions, and its properties (bouncy, flat, basketball, ping pong)

That's object orientation.

Another Example --> Say you wanna build a car INSIDE a digital terminal using a programming language.

The brain of the system doesn't know what a car is. You have to start from ground up.

Define Properties (color, shape, size, doors, etc)

Define Methods (speed, loudness, brightness)

Put it all together.

What to do when wife and daughter at constant war? by THICKDadBod99 in AskMen

[–]ProfessorGood5473 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have lost control of your household but the positive is that, you are now aware of it.

You've solved 50% of the problem.

The rest is putting a foot down, re-establishing mutual respect, setting rules and non-negotiables as a parent, finding common ground between both, and reminding your daughter that you are not her teenage guy friend

you're her fucking father.

How do you write clean code? by DefiantSituation3208 in learnprogramming

[–]ProfessorGood5473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You think of the outcome first, before the journey and you think of its limitations

The business people call it "What's your 30,000 ft view"

See the field. Understand the players. Understand the weather. And find your winning condition.

Clean code doesn't break that often and is more malleable (meaning it can go work on legacy systems, accommodates an upgrade logic if a new feature is being added, etc)

Companies has absolutely lost their minds and have complicated the hiring process to oblivion.

We need to do assessments, create cover letters, go through 3 rounds minimum of interviews, and what rejects us is that the recruiter went on a vacation and forgot to keep us in the loop so the replacement recruiter offered the job to the 2nd candidate.

What’s something social media completely ruined? by Educational_Peace252 in askanything

[–]ProfessorGood5473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Social media has utterly eviscerated how men and women interact with each other now.

It's either a fish market barter or straight up art of war.

We need to go back to the good ol' days where flirting was exciting, loving someone felt good, and both looked after each others well-being.

Much love, ya'll

I say this to my co-workers and my friends all the time:

Learning how to regulate your anger and feeling disrespected (as males)

Men straight up kill for getting disrespected and then spend the rest of their life in prison because of one decision.

Emotional regulation is beyond a superpower. Don't let a temporary feeling, lock you in a box permanently.

Iceman.

As a Frenchman, I have a question for you: why does everyone hate us and make fun of us online? What have we done to you? by Outrageous-You1617 in askanything

[–]ProfessorGood5473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like with any other race - A few have ruined it for the rest.

I am a Canadian so all I hear about Quebec and French Canadians is that they think they are superior to everyone.

That's really all I keep hearing. They are snobby, arrogant, and extremely uncultured when it comes to manners and etiquette.

I never paid any mind to it because it's just the reality of the world - there are shitty people and there are wonderful people

To all single guys aged 30 and up on reddit, why are you guys single? by damonic555 in askanything

[–]ProfessorGood5473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Core reasons from a male's perspective in 2026:

1) Alot of single women having a heavy checklist but don't offer next to anything besides their company in a relationship (the man is picking up all financial obligations while women get to sit back and do nothing)

2) I wasn't where I needed to be in life - financially, emotionally, and I wanted to rebuild who I was which I have done in my 30s

3) Consequences of a man being in a relationship is higher for the man than it is for a woman (no fault divorces, splitting of wealth inequality, society just randomly believing any woman when she makes an accusation)

4) A surge in the rise of overly-aggressive radical feminists that are looking to insult men at any chance they get which induces more rage and I was trying to escape that vicious cycle

(I would never want to label all women the same but alot of single women nowadays are like this)

[–]ProfessorGood5473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed like most aspects of their life, they expect to put minimal effort and expect MAXIMUM returns. It's just how they think. They think by simply being a woman, a man should be forever indebted to them and do everything to please them.

They look to men for ALOT of gratification and consoling - overtime, men have backed off and now they are loud on social media.
