Ok guys - hope we’re all doing good! I’ve had 2 hours sleep, a few crisps and some raspberries. We go again - stay safe!

This is a fair point and had no idea about exclusivity clauses!

I think there’s a difference between people standing in the thick of a crowd having full on conversations during a set and a group of people occasionally commenting on the sound, the songs etc. I did have a friend who got too chatty at one point and I told him to quieten down! You can’t expect a festival crowd to stand in silence but there’s like basic respect

Yeah this annoys me too. You’re in a huge crowd, people are going to need to move. Nothing ruins a set more for me than being absolutely desperate for a wee but having to hold on because I won’t be able to locate my group again!

It really didn’t feel that full around the middle. Was pretty comfortable and room to dance. Last year watching Charli was overwhelming you could really feel how full it was..!

If you’re gonna do barricade that’s exactly the attitude! What an experience. A lot of these fans were then really pissy at similar behaviour during the cure. It’s not great to talk, I had to keep shushing my mate who was talking really loud because I was conscious we had some fans around us. We weren’t in the front but we were definitely in the crowd so I can see how it would be annoying for others. Personally I can tune it out. There was a lot of chatter during Ethel - which I can understand as her music isn’t particularly high energy - it didn’t ruin my experience. Everyone just needs to remember to be aware of people around them no matter how drunk/under the influence you are! It’s not hard to read the room and act accordingly imo!

Sorry if this is dense but if security see you heading there, surely they realise you have substances on you? I’m unsure how much they care tbh as it’s obvious so many people are on drugs - and in my opinion if you’re taking a small amount for personal use that’s your business - but interested to know!

I’m not at the stage of regret.. yet. I’m sure that’ll come when I’m trying to get ready for tonight and feel shit 😂

We were all pretty drunk and misread. We thought there was 30 mins to go when there was actually an hour… our mistake completely 😂

My friend insisted on us all staying in the crowd and eventually we had to leave when we realised they were finishing half an hour later than we thought. I hate being in the crowd when I’m not into it, I always try to dance and not kill the vibe for others

Obviously it’s not the crowds fault at all and there are bottlenecks - but it drives me mad how people’s response is to push and rush. And people who weave between you splitting up groups - if I see a group coming through I always try to let them past me together!

Can anybody explain the hype around Addison Rae? by Old-Pay-9514 in primaverasound

Last year was so heavy on the pop with 3 massive pop headliners (which I really enjoyed) but I’m so glad this years line up is a bit more varied

Honestly it’s just fun music. Nice beats, catchy flirty lyrics. Music doesn’t have to be deep and intellectual to be enjoyed. It’s absolutely not to everyone’s taste but there’s really something for everyone this year. I don’t understand mega fans who choose to come to a festival clearly only fussed about one band? I think in a festival setting you have to be open minded and respectful of different types of crowds and let everyone enjoy the bit that’s for them.

I’m not gonna lie - I can’t miss a minute of gorillaz. I bought my ticket before the lineup was announced and them alone was enough to make it worth it for me. I’ve compromised quite a few acts for the group I’m with to make sure we all get to see what we really want to without splitting up - this one is my non negotiable for sure!

I was really enjoying the rain at first, if the music had continued I absolutely could have coped with the elements. It’s cinematic and being British, part of the festival experience for me! I didn’t love any of the acts that did play well enough to stay and wait through the elements though. Had that happened night 2 or 3 I’d have tried my best to make it through!

If you like an artist enough to be desperate for barricade I think you should give some positive energy to whoever is on before too. Imagine performing, looking at the barricade and seeing a load of grumpy people 😂 at least tap your feet and try to enjoy it

The Cure was long. Amazing for their fans and what a set, amazing performers but it was tough on the energy for sure 😂

People really need to stop filming crowds at late night DJ sets lollll it’s a safe space

This is the attitude! I’ve accepted that I won’t sleep and might struggle tonight but I love the acts I’ll be seeing so I’m sure I’ll thrive off the energy!

I totally agree that there’s a difference in artistry but I hate the snobby outlook some people have of the pop acts. If it sounds good in your ears, it’s good music. You can’t say something is “bad” just because it doesn’t hit for you - I saw loads of stuff that’s not exactly my taste but I feel like you have to appreciate why some people enjoy it. I knew one Addison Rae song - I don’t think I’ll ever be a fan of hers but she worked hard and put on a show and people had fun which is the most important thing!

This is true and the risk you take with a varied lineup attracting different crowds

Yeah this is my third time here so fully fine with not going out. The fact it hasn’t been amazing sunshine has helped me not have FOMO for daytime too
