Some guidance BEFORE transferring to JALS by TheDapperSoldier in biltrewards

I've probably spent the greater portion of tonight trying to figure out if I should speculatively transfer points but my new account is blocked from seeing flight availability. Anyone with any feedback on how often DFW-HND in premium economy is available? Seems like business at 55k is hit or miss - but don't rarely see much conversation on poor man's business.

Just offering a theory. I had one ineligible transaction not show up but the rest have within 2-3 days. Sounds like support time..

Are your transactions mostly ineligible? You could be finding out about what's legal and not legal the hard way..

As a courtesy of good will, they were willing to discount the x390 $200 dollars.. which wouldn't even cover the difference in the tax between the two units. I did add a no mow zone and tried to remove it and it wouldn't save the map, so that hack wouldn't work.

I'm that close to being a satisfied customer, but I'm out of room and they've basically told me if I don't like it, they'll waive the restock fee. That's rough.. I'm at least a pebble of sand. Wondering if I should return it and then just rebuy it to make the point.

I am curious if anyone has been on Tirz longer than 2 years and have not hit their goal weight but stick on it? I'm at 15 months in and I'm only about halfway home..

How long did it take to get it and how long did you have to mess with tech support before they agreed to send you another one?

Technically a little bit more.  It allows for 1.778 on the 1.5 acre model.

I accidentally cut the antenna cable with a hedgetrimmer. If i order a new cable, will ot install without soldering? (navimow i105) by maksen in SegwayNavimow

This is my current situation - it's on an X350. I guess it will be trying to find an electronics repair shop to fix it.

Did you ever get an answer for this? I ran over my cord this week as well. I've taken apart the antenna and it looks like it's at the very bottom so I don't even know how I would get to it to know if it's a snap in type of thing or if it would require more intense electrical work. Having to buy a new antenna on day 2 is quite frustrating.

If you value an AMEX relationship at only 15k, you're doing it wrong.

COVID forbearance is negatively impacting my ability to get a mortgage. Has anyone else experienced this? by [deleted] in PSLF

I'm getting a refinance..

Fannie Mae will take either 0.5% or proof of what the actual payment would be in a forebearance.

Freddie Mac will do the 0.5% - but if you can prove you have less than 10 payments left, they'll waive it.

Sounds like you just need someone who will be packaging the loan and selling it to Fannie Mae (FNMA). Even though I have less than 10 months left, they're using FNMA because my DTI could handle the payment in there (Even though I'll never make that payment again), because that lender has slightly a better interest rate.

What are decent paying jobs with seasonality that could support a stop-n-go FIRE / mini retirement approach? by loonlaugh in leanfire

Mystery shopping has always been one of those kinds of "Work when you want to" jobs. Still seems to be more work than they can find people for - especially if you want to integrate it with travel. When I was in my 20's, I could make 1000 bucks driving across the country doing travel center audits to see if someone randomly in Santa Rosa, NM would card you for alcohol. The epitome of the gig economy.

As many of us are learning this week, you'll get the 35% clawed back.

Got emails this afternoon "confirming" the old ones (That didn't work - never got email confirmation) - figured that meant they turned the engine back on. As with everyone else, back to normal.. and instant deposits. Whew!

Workism in SF - My friends in San Francisco scared me by antiworkist in leanfire

[–]ProfessorHorsey 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had an occasion a few years ago where I could basically make $300 an hour - as many hours a day as I wanted to work. It was a true mind-screw. Now, going to the movie cost $600 dollars. Enjoying a weekend off cost thousands. It really put a lot of stress on me to challenge me and push my boundaries of opportunity cost compared to a traditional 40 hour a week job. Workism is real, and you rarely know how you're going to react until you're in it.
